Getting the implants

Joe's POV
I woke up to here my alarm ringing, it was 4:15am but we had to be at the hospital for 5:30 as Safire had to be hospital for 6 ready for her operation at 7.
"Good morning beautiful" I said as I gently tapped her awake.
"Good morning sweetheart" she said giving me a gentle kiss.
"Right well we better get ready and then wake Safire up, but I want to try and keep her asleep for as long as possible because she can't have breakfast or a bottle, but the hospital said to wake her up before as she needs to be awake for a least 30 mins before operation" I said.
"Okay"'said Dianne and then she made her way into the bathroom.

After they have gotten ready
"Right well it's time to go and wake up the little princess" said Dianne and then we made into Safi's room.
"Oh I hate waking her up, can you do it"? Dianne asked.
"Well you know I hate it too, but anything for you my dear" I said and then I went over to her cot and I took her blanket off her and took her dummy out her of her mouth and gently stroked her awake.
"Hi, good morning" I said as I lifted her out of the cot, she didn't seem too impressed.
"Right well I'll go and put our bags in the car" said Dianne.
"Okay, I'll lock up" I said.

When they are at the hospital
We arrive at the hospital and we went up to the reception.
"Hi we're, here to see Doctor Ava" I said.
"Okay, I'll let you know that you're  here" said the receptionist.
"Okay thank you" I said and then we sat down and waited.
"Hi guys" said Ava as she came into the waiting room.
"Hi" we both said.
"Right, anyway let's go to your room" said Ava and then she lead us down a series of corridors and up a flight of stairs.
"So you guys will be staying here, she'll probably need to stay here for two days after her operation, you guys are welcome to stay here too" said Ava.
"Okay thank you" said Dianne.
"Okay, I'll be back in about 10 mins with the operating team" said Ava and then she left the room.
10 mins later
It was now time for Safi to go down to theatre, it was only a small operation but I was feeling nervous and from the look on Dianne's face I could tell she was too, she cradle Safire close to her. We walked with the team down to to just outside the operating theatre and Dianne and held Safire's hands as they put  her to sleep. Once she was asleep we let got of her hands and then watched as she was wheeled in, Dianne buried her head into my shoulder and then began sobbing, I wrapped my arms around her.
"Dot, don't worry, she'll be fine, it's just a small operation" I said.
"I know it's just, it scares me, I mean she's just a baby" said Dianne.
"I know she is, but at least we're able to get this done now, and before you know it, she'll be talking and she'll be able to hear us.
"You're right" said Dianne.
