I'd slammed straight into it. It was large, its slimy body coiling around my limbs. I looked up at its lifeless, drooping eyes. It didn't look in control of itself-not that I'd seen any giant snakes with self-control before, or anything. I couldn't move- if I tried its body would wrap tighter around me. Then it hissed viciously, inches away from my head, spitting. I glanced at its sharpened teeth gleaming in the sun's heat. For a split second, I thought about the fact of how a giant snake had teeth in better condition than I did, but dismissed the thought as the snake's hissing brought me back to reality.

I struggled, but it tensed more. Moments away from jerking itself at me, it snapped. I saw its eyes revive with life, focusing on me. It loosened its grip on me, then slithered back.
"It's me Zinzan, Dylan they have me and I can't control myself. now RUN. I'll try to get back to you." He ordered.
"But-"
"GO!" He repeated, then his eyes drained into cloudy orbs. I ran after Brianna and Cody before he could strike at me again.
"This running thing is starting to be a habit," I said to myself.
I looked onwards to see tall cliffs dividing, giving three paths.
"Which one?" Brianna asked as we all came to a stop.
"It doesn't matter just GO!" I called, running straight into the middle path. They followed. And so did the men and women. Then the ground started to shake. There was a terrible rumble from deep in the ground.

At first, no-one moved, our brains unable to make sense of the input from our ears and feet. The ground moved and the noise was like extended thunder, only worse since the vibrations were coming from below. The roar was at an intensity I'd never experienced before. Then the ground split open, swallowing all who stood on it as the crack advanced.
