I used to play by the ponds every day. I used to splash around as it rained heavily every day. I never wanted to leave it. Never had I wished so much for the land, to feel the sweet brown soils of home with this much feeling. For on that sea I felt the rage within as if the ocean's countless tears were ready to pound at the feet of man, to teach those who had wanted yet not nurtured as he should. It was the gale that screamed under dark and serious clouds. The massive ship cut through the watery fists with ease, still, the waves rose with anger.
Suddenly the waves started to grow larger, and I wondered if the ocean really was angry. The waves grew so large that the vessel was dwarfed, riding up and down the mighty swelling sea like a child's toy. There was no mercy in the cold wind, no grace in the waves, only wrath and tempest. The air was suddenly thick with a briny mist. Then I panicked, splashing rapidly, not wanting to be left bobbing lifelessly on placid water the next day, or else several leagues down with the fishes. That is if she had enough humanity to spare our carcasses afterwards.
Her henchman leaned over the side of the boat, and a few of what Zinzan later called out 'the oblivion'. They didn't seem as sophisticated or menacing as I thought. They looked drunker than anything. One of them peered over the side of the ship, twirling and giggling.
"Those are the people who managed to get you to try to kill us?" I remarked.
Zinzan shot me a bitter glare.
"WHAT DO WE DO?" Cody shouted louder than necessary.
"Nothing- we need to get abroad that ship, remember?"Zinzan reminded.
I'd almost completely forgot about the plan.
We waited as the ship neared to a stop, the mist thickening as they did. A large splash echoed, sending ripples through the waters raging surface, the air now been completely covered in thick mists. I waited for Zinzan's call but instead got greeted by a cold and painful whack behind my head.
