I watched as she fell. Cody looked fearful. Zinzan showed no emotions. I don't think he cared.
"Well that's one way to go," He muttered. Typical Zinzan.
"How can you be so chill about this, she just fell into a crack in the Earth into who knows where to save Cody's life!" I raged. It sounded worse when you say it out loud.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better I know where she'll fall," Zinzan said.
"Where?" Cody asked, still staring into the distance.
"Somewhere to her layer-"
"Brianna had a layer?!" Cody asked, impressed.
"No, no not Brianna someone else," I corrected.
"Dylan none of this is random. She's doing it. All of it- the earthquake, the wave, the whirlpool, the dragon-"
"How do you know about the dragon? You weren't with us in the cavern," I demanded,
"I saw you. We all did. They were monitoring you all."
"And by we you mean...?" Cody asked.
"She and her 'henchmen'," Zinzan said bitterly.
"Well, we've escaped them now, so-" I was cut off by Zinzan.
"DYLAN! You don't get it- she's not going to stop now. It's not like before. These aren't empty promises, she meant it, and you can see she did. She's not going to stop until she kills us- even if it meant wiping the entire human race, which it did. All these strange things happening are meant for us, and there's no end to it until we're gone."
I went to silence.
"So we find a super-secret location and what, hide forever?" Cody asked finally, breaking the silence.
"Well, I guess we're back to what we were set out to do in the first place," I said.
"No, It would never work,"
"Well it's all we can do-"
"They're tracking me," Zinzan said.
We all went silent.
