Chapter Eight

I slowly scroll my eyes up, seeing his smile. I groan in pain and see him lean down, he places a hand on my chin. He makes me look up at him, and I try to resist, but I focus more on my body, feeling the stinging pain.

"You're a test Ms. L/N" He stated, I watch as he drops my chin and starts to walk away from me. I stare at the ground, trying to control my emotions from yelling away from the painful suffering. Before I know it, I feel a bag cover my head, I start moving around, trying to fight back. I then feel then bang something on my head.

I black out, but not fully, my mind is hearing and sensing everything still. My feet drag on the floor as two people hold me up, by the arms. My head hangs, as I slowly gets tossed into something. The door shuts me out, leaving me to rot in here. I open my eyes and allow me to wake up, I grunt as I sit up.

I peel the disgusting bag off my head, and throw it into the wall. I look around, seeing a bit of light from the window. I get up and see myself in a cage, or that's what I think it is. I hold onto the metal bars and shake it, feeling it not budge. I turn to the entrance I came from, seeing my eyes hurt from the sudden shift in lighting. 

I shake the handle, and feel it locked as well. I take out my pistol shooting at least three bullets, I push the door, watching it fall off completely. I stumble out, and see Leon standing with his pistol out, confused. I smirk and slowly approach him, he lowers his pistol and puts it away.

"Howdy Leon--" I say as I finally arrive over to him, I feel my legs give out and fall. He catches me, and tries to stand me up once more.

"Whoa whoa, what happened to you? What did they do?" I back away from his neck and try to keep my eyes open.

"They--brought me here...said I was a test." I feel my eyes roll back a bit, a stumble and he catches me once more.

"Hey, stay with me." I hum a yes, as he tosses my arm around his neck, grabbing it."

"Why are you here?" I ask, letting the words drag a bit.

"They baited me, they hinted that you were in trouble so I came." He starts walking to one of the exits, as I start to wake up and gather strength.

"You came to save me, you came to see if they were telling the truth." He then looks at me, as I stare into his blue eyes. His eyes slowly trail down to my lips, he shakes his head and keep walking. I then let my head fall to my right shoulder, feeling him lean into my ear and whisper.

"Let's get you out of here." I nod and he approaches the large wooden opening, only for both of us to see it fall. It trapped us in here, we both then turn around seeing another entrance closed as well. I quickly pull myself off of him and take out my pistols, I check the ammo and look at him. "Feel better?"

"No, not really. They want to see us fight something, they know probably everything about our encounter already." I turn around to see villagers pulling something with rope, they all struggle and fall back from the beast. 

Leon and I watch the giant break the doors it came from. It kills all the villagers that were pulling him. The monster tries to swing at Leon making him do a back flip to dodge his attack. I start shooting at the thing and running at it, I run under it's legs and continue to spray bullets from behind. Leon tries to stay close as the thing swipes his up, I realize his second hand coming towards him. I yell at Leon before it starts squeezing him to death.

He notices and stabs the thing, he falls as the beast holds it's wrist in pain.
