Chapter Eighteen

He chuckles as he gets up, he looks around. 

"Remind me next time to go last." I say with anger, he looks back on me with a playful tone.

"Don't blame me that you were next to me." I scoff and let my arm push me up more.

"You're lucky I don't have my bat, I would've--" He lends me a hand, I grab it and stand up. "Smacked you." I say with a calm low voice, I turn around and help Ashley up next. I then start to remember where we could be. "I saw trucks coming in, you think we could snatch one?"

"I don't see why not?" Leon states as he check his phone, waiting for his supervisor to call. Or maybe a call from Saddler. "Let's head over, should be at least a few minutes away from us."

We make our way, finding a few rooms to search. I always tried to find records, although it wad dumb of me, knowing we are at the disposal area. We then find a open truck, Ashley hops to the driver seat while Leon and I stay back. I turn to Ashley and point to a specific button if anything happens. We'll jump over to the main seat, she's sitting in.

We I then go onto one kneel shooting the truck coming ahead, I exhale shooting the tire. We see fire, knowing we're still close from it to explode. Leon sprints to Ashley, speaking to her.

"Push the gas!" He then comes to me, and hugs me. I watch the flame explode and flinch from the sudden heat, he covers my face. He backs away and turns to see the truck blocking the passage way we came from. 

I slide back and sit down, Leon stays standing as I watch the flames disappear from our sight. I get up and walk over to Leon. Ashley finally drives outside, I feel Leon stare at me as a tear falls from my eye. I keep looking at him, feeling myself start to fight the parasite.

"It's eating me alive." I watch as he looks at me up and down, unknowing of what to do. I close my eyes and open them. Another tear falls and I feel myself gone, like I can't control myself. I hop off the truck and run into a room.

(Leon's Point of View)

I watch as she starts to cry even more, as she opens her eyes I back away a bit. Her eyes are red, she's acting strange. I watch as she jumps down, I yell her name watching her run into a unknown room. I turn to Ashley asking her to stop the truck, we both follow Y/N steps and arrive to see her behind Saddler. I angrily start shouting Saddler, running toward him. 

He holds his hand up stopping me, I groan and grunt feeling pain in my chest. He's trying to control me, but he can't yet so he's hurting me. I fall onto the ground holding my chest, yelling out in pain while hearing Saddler speak. I look up watch as she follows his orders, I throw a tracking device on her. I then see Y/N standing still, she closes her eyes and opens them, I watch her normal color returns. 

She falls and collapses onto the ground, Saddler looks back on her disappointed.

"Stop fighting it, it consume you soon anyways." Saddler then picks his guards to pick her up, they drag her somewhere. I stand up and try to run after them, knowing I'm weaker now. 

I curse under my breath, and try to find my way to them.

(Y/N Point of View)

They throw me, I get up and turn around, seeing them block a door. I smirk and look at them, making their faces shift. I charge at one, jumping on his face breaking his neck, I flip and throw his body behind me. I take his machete, and spin slicing his buddy across the throat. I wipe the blade on his clothes as I leave.

This wasn't my best plan, but it worked. At first the virus was eating me, and yes I was controlled but I'm learning to fight it, while acquiring some of it's perks. I flip the machete and walk out the room, and see Ada standing waiting for me.
