"The sample, you two have to get it back." I look away for a bit, was it a sample of the virus? I quickly watch Luis eyes give up on him, watching Leon yell his name again with distraught. We both get up and look at the palm of Leon's hand.
It was pills, we have to dry swallow them. We both look at each other, with no words to share. I tilt my head to the nearest door, and start walking as Leon follows, looking back on his body. We then see Ashley held on the wall, I get my pistol and close one eye to aim. Leon tells her to not move as she shoot the locks off.
I then switch my barrel to the villagers below, seeing them flow out of multiple rooms. Leon finally releases Ashley making her get cornered. She ducks as she clear the way for her, Ashley thinks quickly and runs into a room. Now we can't help her, we're separated for now, I sigh and reload. I turn around and walk into the room behind us, noticing it's a conference room.
I hear Leon's footsteps behind me, as I look over the railing to the pool we passed. He comes next to me, making me think to myself. I should get the sample, I need to complete my mission, since it'll be the last from Wesker. I will be free from his grasp, but somehow I feel like it isn't over with. I back away from the railing and turn to the door we came from.
"I'll get the sample." Leon holds my arm back, angry..why?
"Don't we have to stay together." I roll my eyes and shove his hand away.
"Don't--I can get the sample I'm use to this." My hand grazes the door before he speaks up again.
"Are you working for Wesker?" I stop and get wide eyed, I turn my head. "I know your mission was to turn in the presidents daughter." I scoff and shake my head, letting my hand fall, Ada is working on this too. I should've known Wekser would pull this out on Ada and I.
"And? It was my mission, but now I'm helping you." He then steps closer to me.
"How do I trust you?" I turn around and walking right up to him.
"You have no right to say that. Of course, you can trust her but me?!" I start laughing and look around, I then place my eyes right on his. "Just like the old days huh? Should've known it would come to choosing."
"You lied to me about your identity, mission, and who you work for." I then step closer to him, yelling.
"Ada is no different--she's working for the same person, and probably the same objective. You say you care, but how can I trust you? You chose her! You always chose her!" I push him back as he walks away from me.
"I'm not choosing anybody, I do care!" He then plops onto the nearest chair, putting his hand over his eyes. "I never said I didn't care about you Y/N."
"We've both changed, but our problem is still the same." He scoffs, and I slowly walk over to him. Tired of everything, and wanting to forget about him in general. He looks at me as I walk towards him.
I sit on his lap, wrapping my arms around his neck, I ease into his face watching his eyes linger on my lips. I grab his shirt collar and pull him close, I let our lips meet softly. He leans up to me, as we continue to share the kiss. I then pull my right hand up to his cheek, to deepen the kiss. We turn our heads and I quickly remember what happened before, I slowly back away from him.
His eyes open as my stay on his lips, I use my thumb to drag his bottom lip down a bit. I then let my hand fall. I then back away from him, watching him act numb and speechless. I whisper softly to him.
"You chose what you wanted, and I saw the decision. Remember what happened in the train cart?" He furrows his brows, I quickly get up seeing him lean forward.
