Chapter Twenty-Two

I struggle holding him with one hand, making me bring my other hand down as well. He yells as he grabs it, I grunt pulling him up. He then drops on top of me from the sudden weight change, he quickly gets up. He offers his hand, I grab it and hop us as well. He quickly places his hands on my cheeks and looks into my eyes.

"Are you alright?" I bring up my hands and hold onto his wrists, I then continue to nod.

"I-I'm fine." We both hear a roar, we turn and see Saddler running up where Leon once was. Leon slides his right arm down mine, grabbing my hand tight. We runs making me follow close to him, I turn my head feeling the wind flow through my hair, making my vision a bit hard to see clearly. 

I watch Saddler jump making it onto the platform we're on. I then see the speed Saddler runs, making it impossible to escape from him. I turn my head back around, seeing straight ahead of us. I feel my body fly, feeling a hard thump behind us, Leon and I fall onto the ground rolling back. 

Leon and I stand up, and I catch something red at the corner of my eye. I quickly equip my grappling gun, and spot a hook by her. I nod to Leon and start running, I shoot my gun and it catches the hook from one of those tractors. I make it and hop onto Ada's tower, she's holding a launcher. Leon comes by us, I hop down and watch Ada pass him the launcher. 

I see Leon backup, but Saddler was too close. I run at Saddler and slide under his legs, feeling him about to grab me, until Leon shoot the rocket. The explosion makes me roll away, I groan as I stop, watching  Saddler dissolve. I then see the sample roll out, I get up running, seeing Leon kneel and pick it up. 

I stop in my tracks as Ada points her gun at me, she smirks as Leon stares at me confused. He wonders why I'm not moving or talking, until Ada shifts her gun to his head. The gun clicks in his ear, as Leon stares down at the floor. 

"Sorry you two, now hand it over." She says sternly while keeping an eye on me. Leon slowly hands it over, she swiftly takes it.

"Ada you do know what this is?" I scoff, making her look at me once again. I then hear a faint noise, it's her rescue.

"Trust me she knows, double-crossing is her skill." She hums in response while Leon stands up, holding his arms up. She's now giving it to Wesker, she knows what he'll do.

Leon and I turn behind us, seeing the helicopter, I stare at it pass us while Leon keeps an eye on her as well. I follow Leon's eyes and see Ada gone, she then appears again in a helicopter.

"If I were you, I would get off this island too." She then pushes a button, I look and realize that this place will blow up. All of this island is infected, it's gonna be gone from the world map. Leon then mumbles under his breath.

"She really pushed it." I watch as she passes him keys, I look at the keys knowing it's her other plan to escape. "Very cute. Let's move out." 

We run hearing the whole island rumble, the elevator beeps. We go on it, I push he button and look down. Ashley was waiting by, biting her nails from being nervous. Leon explains what's happening making her yell. We drag Ashley along until we fins the jet-ski, Leon get's on and offers me a hand.

I grab it and sit close to him, knowing we'll be squished on this one jet-ski. He turn to Ashley behind me, telling her to hold on. I lean closer to his torso, and grab onto it, I blush a bit while he starts driving away. Banging and loud explosion surround us, but we can't see it, it's happening from outside. Ashley then looks behind us, seeing a massive wave build up, having debris tied into it as well.
