Chapter Nine

I shoot it, seeing it cover his face and falling to his knees. I watch as alien look-a-like pops out of his back. Leon jumps on him and starts cutting the ugly thing extruding from it's back. He jumps down towards me, using his arm to make us both back-up. We hear howling and look at the top of the hill, seeing a dog. 

"That dog keeps coming back." I say, watching it stare at us. Leon looks at me confused, and stares back at the dog.

"You've met him too?" He says with a smirk, we both keep our eyes on the little guy. He jumps down and barks at the beast, causing him to switch his focus. 

We both shoot at it's back, as we protect the dog as well. I gently move the dog as he tries to swipe at me, I drop to the floor and shoot one bullet more. He goes down to his knees and covers his face once again. The thing pops back out, and I see Leon passing his knife to me.

"Here catch!" He yells, I grab the knife and quickly swing over to his back, using his neck. I stab stabbing it as he moves in pain. He then starts shaking around, he's done for good. 

I run down and feel Leon grab my hand, pulling me slightly behind him. I toss him back his knife, seeing the monster fall down. His face his buried in the ground as his weak point is still out, it's dead. I then see Leon quickly turn around, noticing the gate open for us to leave. I go deep into my thoughts, just thinking about him and my mission.

He's here to save her, while I'm here to capture her. I can't take her away from her family, she should leave with Leon. I'll be breaking my contract with Wesker, knowing I could die for not completing my objective. I scroll my eye towards the villagers bodies, seeing them mutated. My main goal is to retrieve the virus, I'll finish that. 

"Y/N?" I snap my eyes to Leon, knowing that he is probably not gonna trust me. "Come on, let's leave."

"Sure" I say seeing him start walking away, I grab him arm and stop him. "You should save her, I'll help you." He tilts his head a bit, and let's his eyes find mine once again.

"That was always my plan." He then separates from my arm, we both then make our way to the church. 

So she's been here all this time, obvious but smart. Wesker didn't give me any information for this, only told me my goal. Leon finds a way in, and I stay behind at the main pedestal, he turns around.

"I could stay here and watch our backs, get her. She's waiting for her knight in shinning armor anyways." I say with a playful tone, he shakes his head and smirks while walking away. I rest my hands on the table, and feel my emotions running back to me. 

I then see something getting thrown at me, I catch it seeing that it's my metal bat. I swing it and see a shadow walking out from the dark. It's the same man, I scoff and watch him smirk at me. He then raises his hand, I feel my body stay still, as he walks up to me. I can't control myself, I can't feel my actions taking over my mind. He plays with my hair as I hear footsteps, approach the room, it was Leon and Ashley. 

"I'll take these girls." He says as he drops the strands of my hair, he then walks up to Leon, making me turn to them as well. 

"Who are you?" Leon states watching me, from afar. Why does he look frighten?

"Saddler, the master of this fine..religious community." He then makes me walk next to him, I blink a few times seeing Leon stare at me firmly.

"What do you want?" Leon cocks his head up.

"To demonstrate our power of course, so we kidnapped the presidents daughter and lured both Y/N and you in. Gave you all three a power, although we were planning to send you both back."

"What about her?" Leon then points to me, seeing Saddler turn around to look at me controlled.
