Fog hung low to the ground, making visibility nearly impossible. This was the night that Gandalf the Grey called a secret meeting in the home of a very unsuspecting hobbit; Bilbo Baggins of Baggend. A meeting that would change the course of history forever. In the late hours of the night, they discussed many matters of importance in hushed voices.

"Thorin," Gandalf said in a hushed voice. "they would be a great addition to the company."

Thorin was already irritated with the wizard and the choice that he made with the hobbit, but now that he found out about three last minute guests, he began to fume. "Women do not belong on this quest. Durin's Day is upon us and the last thing that we need is someone slowing us down every time that they break a nail or dirty their silk dresses." Thorin argued with Gandalf in the small living room of the hobbit hole while the rest of the company finished off whatever could be found in Bilbo's poor kitchen, not a crumb could be found. "At least give them a chance." Gandalf pleaded with Thorin Oakenshield. "I would not push the matter if I didn't think that they were necessary for this quest to succeed." Thorin grumbled while he clutched the key that was around his neck, "They get one chance. Not one per person, one chance for the three of them. One slip up and they are gone and if anyone catches wind of this quest because of them, I will have your head." Gandalf let out a triumphant huff and ran a hand through his long beard before saying, "Well. Now that we have agreed, they will be here in an hour or so."

The small hole in the ground was filled with laughter and song as the company awaited the arrival of the three girls. The dwarves were in the middle of cleaning up dinner when a loud set of three knocks echoed throughout the hobbit hole. "Were we expecting anyone else?" Bilbo asked as he wandered out of his study, contract in hand. All of the company looked at Gandalf, waiting for an answer, but he only made his way to the front door. A few moments later, the company was face to face with three girls.

Gandalf began to introduce the girls to everyone, "There is Thorin, the leader of this quest. Then there is Bilbo, the burglar, and the rest of them are Fili, Kili, Bombur, Bofur, Bifur, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Balin, and Dwalin." He looked at the dwarves and then introduced the three girls, "This is Vamorys." Gandalf said, gesturing to a tall girl dressed in dirty clothing with shining silver hair. "And these are her sisters, Aeremys and Salaera."

Thorin's patience with the wizard was starting to run thin. "Gandalf has already told them everything that they need to know about the quest. Balin, give them their contracts."

Vamorys' P.O.V.

I could feel all thirteen sets of beady little eyes burning a hole in my back as I read the contract. I put the contract on the table and signed it, passing it to the dwarf named Balin. "Thank you my dear." He said, taking the contract from my hands and putting it in a sack of his. My sisters were still going over the contract as Bilbo started showing the company to his extra rooms throughout the cozy hobbit hole.

He put the three of us in the same room. Aeremys and Salaera slept in the bed, while I tried to get comfy in a small chair in the corner of the room by a small window. I watched the rain pour down as I thought about what this quest holds as I dozed off into an unpleasant sleep.

~Vamorys' Dream~

Smoke. Smoke and flame filled every crevice of anything that I ever knew. My life was gone and I was nothing but an empty shell of a being. My family. Lost in the inferno of what we used to call home. I let the tears fall as I heard a faint cry coming from somewhere within the house. Aeremys ran out of the burning house, all covered in soot, holding our screaming sister in her arms.
