Bilbo's P.O.V.
I watched them leave and let out a sigh of relief. I went back inside for a cup of late morning tea. When I opened the door, the stench hit me in the face and I thought, It is going to take me weeks to get the nasty smell of dwarves out of here.
I went into the kitchen and started to boil some water for my tea. I grabbed a cup out of the cabinet and went to set it on the table, and when I did, I saw the contract. I looked over the information and a picture of Vamorys popped into my head. Her blue eyes twinkled and a smile spread across her face.
I took the kettle off of the heat and killed the fire. I didn't even bother to put the cup away. I grabbed a bag and stuffed only necessities into it. I stopped long enough to sign the contract. After I made sure that I had everything, I grabbed the contract and ran out the door. My bare feet met the soft grass of the Shire for the last time for who knows how long. It could have been the last time indefinitely. As I ran, my feet made a patting noise on the dirt road as I ran towards the company.
I soon saw them walking along the trails of the outskirts of the Shire. I smiled as I saw her silver locks bouncing as her horse trotted down the road.

Vamorys' P.O.V.
Ezara and I walked at the back of the company trying to get some peace and quiet, before we had to be closer to them on the narrow trails of the mountains soon to come. It was quite peaceful. There was only the sound of hooves on the path and birds in the trees singing sweet songs.
A little ways away from Bilbo's cozy home, I heard the pitter patter of feet and then a voice yell out, "Wait!" I turned my head to see Bilbo running towards us. "I signed it." He said, handing the contract to Balin. He looked the contract over before saying, "Everything seems to be in order." He stuffed it in his bag, looking towards the front to Thorin, awaiting his word.
"Give him a pony." Thorin said, sounding a bit impatient. Bilbo tried to protest, but Fili and Kili picked him up and lifted him up onto a pony before he could even get a full sentence out of his mouth.
We were riding for what seemed like hours when it started to rain. The trees protected some parts of us, but before the ride was over, we were soaked to the bone. Day turned into late evening and before we knew it, the world was dark.
We stopped on a hill with a small section of overhang. By this time it had stopped raining, but we were all still soaked to the bone and shivering.
I made my own fire and stayed away from the others, just listening to the fire crackle and the bugs sing.

Aeremys' P.O.V.
I looked over at Vamorys, she looked at home out here. And I knew that if we wouldn't have wanted to go on this quest, then she wouldn't be here.
"Why is your sister over there all by herself?" Ori asked. I looked over at the dwarves and then said, "She doesn't trust you yet."
"Why not?" Ori continued. By this time, we had everyone's attention. "Yeah why doesn't she trust us?" Kili asked. This is going to be a long night. I thought to myself. Salaera came over and said, "Why don't you tell them the story."
I sighed and then said, "When we were younger, Vamorys would always go to the nearest town to get things for our parents. One day she left early in the morning. While she was gone, orcs came down the hill behind our house. They rummaged through all of our things, and took supplies. We were all asleep when this happened, I woke up choking on smoke. I got Salaera and I out of the house in time, but our parents never made it out. Vamorys saw the smoke from down the road, and tried to get back as fast as she could. When she got there, Salaera and I started crying, and she was there to comfort us. And when we couldn't stay any longer, she got us out and to safety. Some people took us in and gave us food and beds to sleep in. And when Vamorys got older, she would do random jobs to give us somewhere to sleep through the night, and put food on the table. She never told us what she did to keep us alive, but one day she came back to us with bruises and blood all over her. From that day on she didn't trust anyone. Years later, we found our way to Rivendell, where we stayed until Salaera was older. The only reason she is here on this quest is because she will do anything for the both of us. If we didn't want to go, she wouldn't be here." Everyone looked at us and then at Vamorys.

Vamorys' P.O.V.
I heard Aeremys telling the story of what happened before we became who we are now. I grabbed one of the biscuits that Bilbo gave me and started to eat it. When she was done with the story, I felt all of their eyes on me.
Bilbo came over and fed his pony an apple. When he was done, he looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and took out my sword. I grabbed the sharpener out of my bag and began sharpening it when loud cackling followed by howls erupted through the night. Bilbo ran back to the other part of the group and asked, "What was that?"
"Orcs." Kili said. I walked off to the edge of the cliff and looked down. Some of them were carrying torches, while others were scouting around. They had to be stupid to not find us. I went back to my fire and continued to sharpen my sword. Thorin walked over and joined me by my fire, "What did you see?" he asked. I ran the sharpener along my blade once more and then said, "Some are setting up camp and starting fires, but most of them are scouting."
He looked down at my sword and then asked, "Can I see that?" I handed him my sword and put the sharpener back in my bag. After a while he looked at me and asked, "Where did you get this?" I took the sword back and said, "It was my father's sword."
"It is a nice blade, keep it safe." Thorin said, walking away from me. I looked at him with a confused look on my face and then said, "Okay." I listened to the howls in the night, until I dozed off into a light sleep.
~Vamorys' Dream~
I opened the door to our little hut, outside of Esgaroth. Blood was dripping from my bottom lip and from my nose. I had bruises on my stomach and on my ribs. Aeremys and Salaera came running to me. They helped me into my bed, and started treating my wounds. The whole time I was biting my pillow and imagining all of the things I would do to that man if I ever saw him again. The next morning, we headed off towards Mirkwood, seeking shelter with the elves.
~End of Dream~
I snapped awake and drew my sword. After shaking the dream from my head I put my sword down and grabbed my head, shaking it before I tried to go back to sleep.
