The Road Ahead - HOBBIT FANFICTION

Chapter Seven

Mahina's/Vamorys' P.O.V.

I stood up and looked at everyone like I didn't have a clue what was going on. "What happened?" I asked, rubbing my head and acting like I had just come out of a trance. "You tried to kill Kili and Fili." Thorin said. I looked at them and said, "I'm sorry, I really had no idea what was happening.

Gandalf looked at me and then said, "We should keep going." Everyone continued down the passageway. I took the back, taking in every single weakness that the dwarf scum, Thorin Okenshield, has. That's right, Mahina. Gain their trust and then in the night when they are sleeping, then and only then do you take them out. Just like Master said.

At the end of the passageway, we found Rivendell. Master gave me just enough memory of my back story so I would know how to react to the Elves and the Dwarves.

We waited at the gates of Rivendell, awaiting Lord Elrond's arrival. A few minutes later, Elrond and his men rode up to the gates of Rivendell. Elrond and Gandalf talked for a while and then he turned to the dwarves and said something in elvish.

"What is he sayin', does he offer insult?!" Gloin asked, annoyed. "No Master Dwarf, he's offering you food." Gandalf said. All of the dwarves gathered in a circle and talked about what they were going to do. After they were done, we all went to the dining hall. The Elves brought out all different sorts of salads.

"What is it?" One Dwarf asked.

"I don' know. Try it." Another said.

"I don't eat green food." Ori said.

The Elves brought out different types of meats for the dwarves and then went back to what they were doing.

"What happened? You don't seem the same after getting taken by that Warg." Aeremys asked me. "I don't know. Everything inside feels all fuzzy. Like I'm trapped between two worlds and I can't tell which is which." I said while picking at the dinner in front of me.

After dinner, Gandalf, Bilbo, Balin, Thorin and Lord Elrond went to read the map. When I was finished with dinner, I went over to a corner of the room and sat down, feeling that my master had left me for the first time. I felt free, but at the same time I felt trapped.

Fili walked over to me and slid down the wall next to me with a sigh. "What happened to you when you went on that walk, Vamorys?" He asked, looking over at me. I sighed and then said, "I took Ezara out to try and secure a perimeter and to get my head on straight. When I came to the conclusion that there were Trolls by our camping ground, I came back as fast as I could. When I got back, no one was there. I tied Ezara up and went to look for you guys in the woods. That was when the Warg grabbed me." Fili looked over at me, sympathy in his eyes. "What happened after the Warg took you?" he asked. "Promise you won't tell?" I asked him. "Promise." He said, making a cross over his heart. "I think that I am being controlled by something dark. Something that is growing to destroy everything in its path. And it is using me to do its dirty work."

Fili's P.O.V.

The news shocked me to my core. I put my head back against the wall, trying to comprehend everything that she had told me. "When you said that your name wasn't Vamorys, were you under its control?" I asked her. Tears began to fill her eyes and she said, "Yes." I took her face in my hands and wiped the tears away. "Hey. We will fix this. I will fix this." She smiled, but before she could say anything, Thorin, Bilbo, Balin and Elrond came into the room.

"Vamorys, Aeremys and Salaera, can I talk to you for a moment." Lord Elrond said, walking out of the room. Vamorys stood up and followed her sisters out of the room.

"What do you think they are talking about?" Kili asked me. "I have no clue, but it can't be good." I said, standing up. "Sure it can. Don't you remember that they grew up here." Kili said. I nodded my head and looked back at the door, waiting for her to return.
