White hairs

"God damn it!" Keith yelled from his bathroom that was connected to his room. "Why did I decide it was a good idea to join a group of people that I barely knew into a mechanical cat that flew into outer space?" He mumbled as he looked in the mirror, specifically his hair. If you noticed his hair you could see a few strands of white hair, and this wasn't good. Well at least in his opinion.

Keith peeked exited the bathroom and peeked out his room, checking both ways of the hall before booking it to shiro's room.

Shiro was the only one who knew Keith's natural hair color was white. He was like this since he was born and no doctor from any of Keith's previous fostered family's could explain why he had white hair when they tried to found out, which led him back to foster care. Shiro seemed to be the only one who didn't discriminate Keith for his unique hair color.

Keith knocked repeatedly until Shiro opened the door "what's wrong?" He asked never seeing Keith seem panicked before "this," Keith points to his hair "is what's wrong." Shiro looked at his hair and sees the white strands of hair " Keith, I don't have any hair dye... maybe we can go ask allura if she has any" Shiro suggests, Keith thinks about it for a second then nodded.

Once Shiro and Keith arrived at allura's room Keith gave Shiro the allowance to knock, once she answered Shiro explains the whole situation to her Keith, a bit embarrassed to explain, just stood behind Shiro.

"I see." She says seeming to be in thought before she gets an idea and drags Shiro and Keith into her room "this 'dye' you seem to speak of reminds me of a hair changing substance alteans use, and if they're similar to that then I have something to change it back to its original color!" She explains to them, Keith's expression changing to a distressed one " but that's the exact opposite of what I want!" He says "Keith, we can't get hair dye to hide your hair color, and in the end the team will have to know. Might as well do it now then never" Shiro explains trying to persuade Keith " besides, your hair will look weird if you just wait for the dye to come off. If the teams makes fun of you I will defend you don't worry" he says, Keith looks confused of what to chose then finally sighs. "Fine... allura do your thing" he reluctantly agrees. Shiro and allura beam in happiness and allura leads Shiro to the supplies after settling Keith down on a chair.

"And... finished!" Allura says removing the substance off Keith's hair and removing the blind fold from his eye. Keith looks at the mirror set in front of him as he sees his reflection. "It's been so long since I've seen my natural hair color..." he mumbles loud enough for Shiro and allura to hear. "Oooh!!! Keith you and me can be white hair buddy's!" Allura says jumping up and down then hugs Keith. "Right..." he says, a bit unsure but manages to crack a smile, he then looks at Shiro. " you'll be fine Keith, besides, white hair looks good in you" he says looking at keith with a smile.

When it was time to eat Shiro and allura guide Keith to the dining area so he doesn't have to confront the team alone.

Everyone else was settled in eating when allura arrives with Keith hiding behind Shiro " hey allura,why is keith hiding behind Shiro?" Hunk asked them pidge and lance noticed. " ya why is mullet hiding? Is he scared?!" He asked but it came out more of a taunt. "Well you see Keith has something to show you" Allura say grabbing Keith from behind Shiro who hissed a bit in resistance but was finally tugged out and closed his eyes not wanting to see the others reactions.

Hunk dropped his spork, pidge's eyes looked as wide as an owls and lance spitted out his food. "What happened to mullets hair?!" Lance asked "ya what happened to Keith's natural hair color?" Pidge asked, a bit more kindly. "This is my natural hair color..." Keith mumbled enough for the others to hear. "Whoa... that's pretty cool!" Hunk says more astonished about that. " ya! That so unique! For someone to be born with white hair, hay Keith can I take a DNA test?!" Pidge asked, by this point getting out of her seat and at Keith's face, Keith backing away a little "s-sure...?" He says a bit uneasy " yes!!!" Pidge yells her arms in the air walking back to her seat. "Keith has white hair?!" Lance finally says after processing the information "yes lance, Keith naturally has white hair" Shiro says with a smile.

After this whole fiasco, things finally settled down and Keith felt more accepted into the team and more open, a small smiling appearing on his face.
