During a mission infiltrating a galra cruiser, Keith was guarding the door Incase any galra came barging in while pidge gathers information and other personal information. The door soon bursted open causing Keith to fly back and hit the wall. "Keith!" Pidge shouted from behind the panel, he grunted and coughed "I'm fine, just continue and I'll fight them off." He ordered has he got off the floor, not sounding fine and more in pain. He proceeded to fight off the galra while pidge gathered the date they needed, along with the information she needed.

When they was almost finished gathering all the information she heard a cry from Keith "pidge watch out!" Then a scream of pain as they looked back and saw Keith falling to the floor. "Keith!" They yelled as they watched him fall, a galra standing right in front of were Keith stood. Pidge took their bayard and finished them off as well as any other that still stood.

As they finished the last one they ran back to Keith had fell to their knees and covered their mouth as they saw the injury. They've managed to stab Keith in his stomach area, a knife had impaled him all the way. Only the top where there wasn't any blade had been left out.

"Keith!!! Please open your eyes! Open them please, don't fall asleep!" They screams as the fumbled around with their cons hoping to connect with the others. Keith was able to open their eyes, only the slits before he closed them as he painful coughed out blood.

"Pidge! What's happening!?" Shiro yelled as he came on and pidge sighed in relief before another painful coughs erupted from Keith as more blood erupted out his mouth. "Shiro get the team to my location! Tell allura and Coran to get a healing pod ready too!" They screamed into the cons as Keith gasp for air and pidge looking at them with fear in their eyes. "We're heading your way now, but why?!" "Please just hurry or Keith might die!!!" They yelled at him as Shiro shut up and pidge can only imagine having a horrified look on him face. The cons turned off.

They can only imagine how scared they might be at that moment, Keith was like a brother to Shiro and for him to die must be a painful thing to imagine.

Only a few minutes later Shiro and the rest of the team came, shiro's lion making a hole in the wall as he emerged out his gaze landed on pidge and Keith. He gaged at the blood puddle under keith as he hissing in air and coughed more blood in pidge's chest. Shiro ran over pidge crying "I'm so sorry. If I was paying more attention this wouldn't have happened." They said, their voice cracking as they cried clutching onto Keith, cradling him. Shiro hushed pidge and gentle took keith in his arms "ssh this isn't your fault, it's no ones fault." He says to pidge as he lifts Keith off the ground who cried out in pain and Shiro mumbled a apology to him.

Shiro got keith into his lion and flew back to the castle as fast as he could with red trailing behind him. Shiro walked over to Keith as black flew back by themselves. Shiro had tears in his eyes as he watched Keith in pain, "I'm so sorry..." he whispers in a hushed tone only those close could hear. Keith opens his eyes slightly and looks at Shiro, weakly extending his hand towards Shiro which he took quickly and held his tightly in his own. "K-kashi... I'm s-sorry... I- I couldn't be a... g-good team mate..." Keith says, having to pause at some points to breath and cough as his eyes start to dull and close. "Keith... Keith you were always a good team mate ok? You were always so brave in every mission and always watched out for your teammates." He says, tears falling down his face as Keith's eyes dull more and his hand starts to slowly fall loss in shiro's hands.

"Kashi?"

"Ya keith?"

"I... l love you"

A chuckle escaped shiro's lips, "I love you too"

"Keith.."

"..."

"Keith?"

"..."

"Keith please stay with me please"

"..."

"Please... don't leave me... leave us... please don't go please"

"Please..."

Shiro rushed out of his lion when it landed holding a limp Keith in his arms, his pulse barely there. He ran. He ran until he reached the med bay that held the pods.

Coran took Keith off shiro's arms and had removed the knife from Keith, took off his paladin armor and put him in a suit and quickly putted him in a pod.

everyone else rushed into the med bay with tears in their eyes, pidge was already crying, the guilt was probably eating her alive.

" will he be ok?" Pidge asked quietly, she sounded so small, shiro realized that she was just a kid, her innocent was taken by war, a child shouldn't have to fight in a war! She was just a kid for fucks sakes! He looked at lance and hunk seeing their faces, then a Keith's.

They're just kids...
