"Kevin! For the last time, we are not here to watch the Bachelor!" I scolded.

"Hey, this is my house and my TV and I will watch the Bachelor when I please," Kevin replied.

"So you don't want to hear the surprise?" I asked.

"The last time there was a surprise, it was that you got to join the Sam and Colby team. I've known them for way longer and still have yet to go on one of their trips. So no, I don't want to hear the surprise," Kevin said.

"Yes you do. Stop pouting and turn off the TV," I said.

"Ugh, fine," Kevin groaned dramatically.

"Will you go get Reggie for me while I bring everyone inside?" I asked.

"Yes, Mom," Kevin said.

"Thanks, Dad," I replied. Colby had eventually gotten over everyone calling me Mom and Kevin Dad, but he wasn't a fan of it whatsoever at first.

I walked out to the back porch of the Krachouse patio and leaned against the doorframe for a second. I smiled at the group of people out there, my family.

"Hey guys, come on in. It's announcement time," I said excitedly. Colby and I hadn't told anyone where we were going to go yet. Everyone filed in and sat down on the couches except for Colby and me.

Everyone that was invited was inside. Sam, Kat, Jake, Tara, Corey, Devyn, Kevin, and Reggie.

"Okay, so as you already know, the Twitter poll came down to the Wisconsin house and the Winchester Mansion," said Colby.

"Definitely didn't already know that, but please proceed," Reggie said.

"Shut up, stinky," Tara said.

"Anyway," I said, not wanting to spark yet another argument between Tara and Reggie. It was probably not the best idea to bring them both on a trip, but they were both some of my closest friends. "Colby was going to post a second poll but before he could, I got an offer from Chanel for an all expense paid trip for up to twelve people to go to the Wisconsin one."

"Why the fuck would Chanel pay for you to go to Wisconsin?" Kevin asked.

"There's these cool ice castles up there they want be to model the new winter line at," I said.

"What! No way, that's so cool! Good for you, girl," Kat said.

"Yeah, and for you," said Colby. "And you, and you, and all of you," he said, pointing at different people. "They said they'd pay for up to twelve people. We're bringing ten. Us ten."

"Wait, are you saying...," Kevin asked, his eyes widening.

"Sort of. We're saying you can come with us to the ice castles and hang out in Wisconsin. I don't see why you guys can't come down to the house to see it too, but the majority of the series will probably still just be the five of us," said Colby.

"Hey man, good enough for me," Kevin said, hopping up. "Thanks, brother." Kevin walked over to Colby and gave him a hug.

"Thank her, bro. I let her choose who's coming since she's the one who landed us the whole deal," Colby said.

"Oh, well shit," Kevin said, turning and hugging me instead.

"This is so exciting!" said Devyn.

"So when do we leave?" asked Tara.

"In three days. On Friday night," I said.

"Sorry for the short notice, we just wanted to get all of the flight and hotel details sorted out since there's so many of us going," said Colby.

"And by 'we', he means me. In the meantime, girls, we have somewhere we need to be," I said.

"What? Where?" asked Tara.

"Nail salon. New series requires a new set of claws," I said.

"Yess!" said Devyn. "See you, babe," she said, bending down to give Corey a quick kiss. We all followed suit with our own boyfriends before leaving the Krachouse to get into my car.

"So, not to sound ignorant because I know Colby sort of already explained this, but what exactly is this house you guys are going to?" asked Kat as I pulled into the street.

"There was this serial killer who dismembered people's bodies and turned them into different trinkets and household items. His name was Ed Gein. He murdered at least two women in his house by shooting them. He killed more than just the two ladies, but the pieces of bodies that the police found were so hacked up and picked apart that there was no possible way to identify them," I explained. "And we're going to the house he killed and dismembered them in."

"Does it not bother you to go to places like that? I don't think I could go somewhere like that knowing what happened there," said Devyn.

"In full honesty, this place is kind of creeping me out already. Way more than the asylum did. But I'll have Colby so I'll be okay," I said. Tara groaned from the backseat.

"Are you guys just permanently stuck in that whole 'new couple' phase where you're all sweet and cute all of the time or will you eventually just treat each other like normal people as the rest of us do?" asked Tara.

"Oh, shut up, Tara. It's cute," said Kat.

"Yeah, like really cute. It makes me miss when Corey and I were like that," Devyn sighed.

"Same," said Kat.

"You guys are all still cute, what are you talking about?" I asked.

"That's total bullshit. I mean, yeah, we're still couples and stuff but you guys are way more adorable than the rest of us ever were or are," said Tara.

"Let the girl be in love!" said Kat.

"Fine, fine," Tara said.

We pulled up to the nail salon and filed in, then decided to all get matching nails. We got one hand with all black and a white X for XPLR on the ring finger, then the other hand with all white and a black X on the other ring finger.

"Okay, so I have a surprise for you guys. The guys don't know about it yet. Not even Colby," I said excitedly as we walked back out to my car with our new nails.

"Ooh, what is it?" asked Dev.

"Okay, so you know how we had to book a flight, right?" I asked.

"Yes...," said Kat.

"Oh no, did that fall through? Do we have to drive? I'm going in a separate car from Reggie. I cannot be in a confined space the size of a car with him for more than 20 minutes," said Tara.

"No, no. Nothing like that," I said.

"Spill it girl! Stop letting us guess, we're clearly terrible at it," said Devyn.

"Okay, okay. So, uh, we're not going on a commercial flight," I said. They all stared at me expectantly, waiting to hear what I had to say. "We're going on a private flight. Like, a private jet."

"WHAT!" screamed Kat.

"Yup. It's happening," I said.

"That's sick as fuck!" exclaimed Tara.

"I'm so excited!" Devyn squealed.

"Can you handle being with Reggie on a private jet or should I book you a standard commercial flight, Tara?" I asked.

"I suppose I could manage for a few hours," she said with a smile.
