"Uh, sorry, where exactly are you taking us?" Colby asked."To the gate address you entered?" the Uber driver said, annoyed.
"But we just drove past the—,"
"Shut up, Colby," Tara said from the furthest back seat.
The girls and I had decided not to tell the guys that Chanel had booked us a private flight. I thought it'd be funny to record their reactions and put it in a vlog or the series.
"Do we have to walk extra now? I don't want to walk extra," Jake said from the back next to Tara.
"We'll figure it out, don't worry," Kevin said in a reassuring tone from the shotgun seat. Total dad thing to say.
The five of us were in an Uber driving to the private airplane hangar gate. The other five were in a different Uber that had picked them up a few minutes earlier than us.
My phone loudly buzzed from where I'd put it under my leg, rattling the silver chains clipped onto my jeans. Kat was calling me.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey. Are you almost here yet? Sam is going to figure it out if you don't hurry and I know you want to record all of them seeing it together for the first time," Kat said.
"See what?" Colby asked from next to me. I clapped my hand over the phone speaker and looked at him.
"Nothing. Stop eavesdropping you ass," I said.
"Shush. You love me," he said.
"I do. But not when you listen to my conversations," I said. I took my hand off of the phone speaker to resume my conversation. "We'll be there in a couple minutes. Just keep everyone out front and we can lead them back. Just hold on a little longer."
"Okay, okay," she sighed before hanging up.
"Everything good with the...plan?" Tara asked from behind me.
"Yeah, they're just being impatient," I said.
"For what? They can just go to the gate. They have to wait in line for security anyway," said Kevin.
"Bro. We drove past the airport like five miles ago," said Colby.
"Are we being kidnapped?" Jake asked.
"Yes. By Nessa and me. Now hush. We'll be there soon," said Tara.
About five minutes later, the car pulled up to the small airplane hangar and we all piled out, taking our bags from the trunk.
"Where the hell are we?" asked Kevin.
"Van Nuys Airport," Colby said, pointing up at a sign. "Why have I never heard of this airport? What's wrong with good old LAX?"
"Stop asking so many questions," Tara said.
"Yes! You're here!" I heard Kat squeal. I looked up to see her and the other four from the first Uber running over to us from under the awning by the front door.
"Can we go inside now?" asked Corey.
"Yes, we can go inside," I said. We all went up to the front door and filed inside. It was a small building, especially for an airport, but it was an extremely fancy private jet exclusive airport. But the guys wouldn't know that. We walked up to the big desk in the front.
