"Fuck me."
"Stop it with your colourful vocabulary, it's sickening."
Ellie and Julio were now discussing more about their geography project, but clearly Ellie was having a lot of problems than she normally should.
Their geography teacher was absent as she was on maternity leave, so their drama teacher was now taking over the class and allowing them to pick a movie to watch.
The tapping of pencils against the wooden tables, the not so quiet whispers in the room, and the constant muffled laughters of the students were driving Ellie crazy.
She gripped her hair and looked down at her notebook, scribbling notes down as Julio was trying so desperately to explain the topic to her.
"As I was saying, the government trades is when two or more countries agree to reduce barriers to import and export goods." Julio explained.
Ellie frowned. "Wait, I thought that was the meaning of free trade agreement."
Julio put on a fake smile. "Well, aren't you smart?" Ellie let out a loud groan and earned multiple students shushing her up.
Why? Because they were watching To All The Boys I Loved Before, a cringey yet amusing teen rom-com that her classmates liked but while Ellie despised.
Before:
Ellie was tapping her fingernails on her desk and heard a chair move beside her. "Hey, you think we can work on our project?" Julio asked.
Although Julio was there and Ellie wanted to suck it up to him and act as perfect as possible like her friend Andrew, she gave up because she had to many things to deal with today.
Ellie woke up late today, mismatched her socks, forgot to bring two of her homework and got a detention slip right in the beginning of the day for getting caught by a stuck up hall-monitor because she was running in the halls
So, she was bummed out the whole lesson.
"Do we have to?" She questioned, rubbing her tired eyes. Julio propped his elbows on her table and rested his head on both his palms, which Ellie found cute.
"Yes, I don't want a bad grade. You might not mind, but I do." He said, pushing up his glasses absentmidedly while Ellie listened on, closing her eyes automatically.
Ellie sighed and unzipped her pastel pink backpack. "Okay, anything for you."
Her crystal blue eyss widened. "Wait, no- I mean-"
"I know what you mean, Parker." Julio said, grabbing his pencilbox and his notebook from his bag. "I don't mind if you continue this, but just so you know-"
Julio leaned in to Ellie, making her cheeks tint with pink, but it was hidden because of their dimly lit classroom.
"I won't give you any satisfaction." The brunette said as he clicked his ballpoint and opened his notebook. He glanced at her, his glasses falling to the bridge of his nose.
"So, are you ready?"
Ellie frowned. "Stop looking so hot, it's illegal."
"I look like this all the time."
"I'm surprised it's not your job by now." Ellie said teasingly, her eyes wrinkled up as she mustered up a teasing smile. Julio coughed in his hand and cleared his throat.
Ellie grinned.
'I'll make him fall in love with me.' She thought as she looked at Julio writing in his notes. 'Just you wait!'
--------
"Just you wait!" Ellie shouted at Andrew, her childhood friend and main person she files all her complaints to.
Andrew howled with laughter and quickly picked up his tray to put away after he finished eating his lunch. Rebecca sighed in amusement and picked on her packed lunch.
Ellie wailed and gripped on her other friend's shoulder, crocodile tears welling up in her eyes. "Johan, help meeee. Andrew being a total ass."
Johan, a male with dyed dark green hair, fair skin with spotted freckles, sported a black bomber jacket and a white t shirt that had the print, 'gingers do it better', and slight ripped jeans, smiled at Ellie awkwardly.
"Maybe, it's because you'll still pursue the guy of your dreams." Johan said, fidgeting with the long strands of his shoulder length hair tied up in a low ponytail.
Ellie huffed and pointed her spoon from her mashed potatoes pile and waved his accusingly at Andrew who was busy covering his mouth to restrict himself from laughing.
"This guy," she said, pointing her spoon to the dirty blond teen. "Was mocking me, because I made a successful interaction with Julio."
Andrew stifled a laugh and wiped away his tears. "You make him sound like an animal."
Rebecca patted Ellie on the back. "In Ellie's defence, Julio is actually one of the only guys that haven't shot her down harshly and didn't mind her pursuing him."
Ellie nodded and glared at Andrew. "Yeah, thanks, Rebecca." She thanked the prettier girl before going back to eating her mash potatoes.
The dirty blond male sat back in his chair and sprawled his arms across the table, his eyes looking like he's begging to Johan who was watching their exchange with a relaxed smirk.
"Johan, my man, my brother, the bad boy, that one rich kid, help me out here."
Johan shook his head and smiled. "No can do, sir. Gotta go meet Madison. I promised her that we'll be hanging out." The green haired teen said as he picked up his tray and pushed in his chair.
Ellie smiled lazily. "Good luck. Make sure she doesn't get angry at you again."
"Because we kept you here for so long." Rebecca continued.
"And because the guy has 10 more minutes to spend time with his girl, so go, now." Andrew said sternly, ushering Johan to quickly meet up with his equally hot girlfriend, Madison.
Johan took his waterbottle and ran out the cafeteria, and met with his girlfriend, Madison, at the front of the cafeteria waiting for him.
Ellie glanced at the couple, the mop of green and blond hair disappearing as they walked away.
Andrew looked at Ellie who was looking at the couple with envy and rubbed her shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, you'll get yours soon."
"With our love advice of course!" Rebecca added on with a smile, although Ellie didn't look too pumped up.
"Yay.." Ellie said weakly, earning a punch from Rebecca and a winced from Andrew.
