"Nah, your hair doesn't go well with that dress."
Rebecca sighed and looked back at the consultant who was holding two pieces of ballgown dresses, periwinkle and a dark purple respectively.
The consultant beckoned the teen into the changing room, opening the velvety curtain, Rebecca following her inside, lifting up the dress for her to not step on it with her converse shoes.
Ellie lifted her eyebrows and nudged Andrew, who was busy critiquing the dresses in the shop.
"Don't you think you were being too harsh?" She questioned, gesturing to changing room 2 which Rebecca was in.
"Nah, if she chose this place with daddy's money, she can choose a dress that suits her." Andrew said, fishing out his phone and checking through Instagram.
"But I still think that dress really suited her though..."
Andrew flicked Ellie's forehead. "My fashion tastes are better. Always trust the gay best friend."
Ellie groaned and slid her butt down the chair. "Dear god..."
The swishing sound of the curtain was heard from the end of the room, and the consultant stepped out of it, her 3 inch thick heels clicking against the marble floor.
Rebecca walked towards the two teens with confidence shown on her face, and the consultant standing from afar with an expression that screams, 'I did pretty fucking good'
Ellie felt her jaw drop as she looked at Rebecca in all her glory, and Andrew raised his phone slowly, the sound of a click was heard from his phone as he quickly went to check the picture he took of Rebecca in the dress.
"Rebecca! You look gorgeous!" Ellie exclaimed.
Rebecca flipped her wavy hair and gave a wink to Ellie. "I know, girl."
Rebecca wore a strapless light purple gown that had heavy embroidery on the top and for the skirt part of the dress, it had a slit for her right leg to show and the fabric was silky, something that Ellie really liked.
Ellie and Andrew thought she looked perfect.
"How much is this dress?" Andrew asked, putting his leg on the other leg, shaking it lightly.
Rebecca fixed the strapless top and lightly said,
"9,342 dollars"
Ellie choked on her smoothie, and Andrew almost dropped his phone.
"Are you fucking kidding me?! That's so expensive!" Ellie exclaimed, standing up and took a look at the price tag hanging on the dress.
Andrew looked at the consultant, bewildered, but she just shrugged and gave a curt smile. The consultant walked to Rebecca and held out a bunch more other dresses.
"Do you wish to try some more ma'am?" She asked politely.
Rebecca shook her head and smiled softly, stroking the silk fabric of the prom dress.
"No, this is perfect."
The consultant grinned. "Great. Now, let's get you out of this dress and we'll get you to pay at the cashier ya?"
Rebecca nodded her head and waved goodbye at her friends who were still astonished by the price of that damned dress.
She went into the changing room to change back into her skinny jeans and crop top, Ellie and Andrew hearing the shuffling of the clothes from the waiting area.
Ellie turned slowly at Andrew who had the same astounded face as her.
"Well you did say she chose this place with daddy's money." Ellie commented, slumping back in the velvety chair. Andrew exhaled loudly and did the same, playing Candy Crush on his phone boredly, waiting for Rebecca to pay for her dress.
