I remember going to Switzerland after a few days after prom. Ellie was so distraught after knowing that I was about to go to the said place to further my studies, but I did not want to leave.

I remember I was bawling, bawling so hard I felt like I was dehydrated from crying all night because I did not want to leave, leave my past days behind, leave the many ones that I loved behind.

But, I had to go. I remember packing my bags that were filled with most of my clothes and putting them in the car, sitting back down on the cushioned seats and staring out the window, while the songs on the radio were played.

They were unusually happy songs. Didn't fit the mood at all.

I remember exiting the car and going to the guard before entering the immigration counter, waiting for my friends, but mostly her.

Her, as in the one I have a crush on. Ellie Parker.

Her strawberry blonde hair was cut short into a bob, and I have to admit it looked cute on her, but I kind of miss her longer hair as it was being blown by the wind.

Rebecca, Andrew and Johan were there, they were bawling their eyes out after Ellie, who was trying to keep it in herself for a long time.

She could've just sobbed right then and there though, I wouldn't mind.

I remember comforting her while the pain in my chest increased, my nose blocking, and my eyes pouring out running tears which dropped onto Ellie's hair.

I remember her friends all hugging me as they cried, not wanting to leave my side any moment. I didn't want to leave. I never wanted to leave, but, life doesn't wait for anybody, time doesn't wait for anybody, fate doesn't wait for anybody.

I remember saying goodbye to Ellie with an 'I love you', and I remember the security guard giving me a meek thumbs up while checking through my passport.

I remember waiting for the plane that was going to come and fly me off to Switzerland and leave me and my old life behind. I didn't want that however, I never wanted to leave. Fucker had to just fly me off to another country.

Switzerland was a nice place, but I felt slightly empty there. I shared a dorm with Jin, a Japanese-Swiss guy who flirts a lot with people, stating that he'll flirt with anyone that has two legs.

He was weird.

But I guess I can stick around with him.

I had no one in Switzerland after all.

5 years have past and I was pretty much trying to fit in, Jin had to intern under my dad's company since I recommended him, something my dad didn't necessarily like but he shipped me off to Switzerland so you get what you get dad.

Ever since I recommended, Jin for my father's company, I actually didn't think of going back to America since my dad's company building was there.

So I ended up returning for my last year of university alongside, Jin, who was thrilled to go and graduate to work in the same company as I was going to.

I was excited but scared of going back, because, Ellie.

I was such a chicken for not texting her back after I arrived in Switzerland and didn't text her after that at all because I was an ass for not telling her and now here I am.

Back in America.

Back to my old home.

And finally telling, Ellie that,

"I've found my way back home."
