"Julio?"

If this had two scenarios it could go two ways, one, he recognizes her and goes ecstatic to meet his old crush back in America after 5 years of not communicating, or two, not recognizing her at all and get agitated and give her the resting bitch face that was infamous of Julio.

Back to the present, he picked up the bread with his tongs, unaware he pushed her clear tongs slightly to reach for the said bread. He scratched his ear, and said,

"Ellie? Is that you?"

She was grinning from ear to ear, that her long time crush, which she has forgotten which was inexcusable since she had forgotten him who had made a big impact on her life, but sure, I guess she can be left off the hook with that because she's the main character of her story.

Chest bubbling up in excitement, she patted his shoulder, like almost a bro thing, and almost like she knew him forever which she did, and screamed in his ear.

"Yes! It's me! And, you look, uh, different?"

He laughed, his voice lower than before, the sound of his reverberating voice ringing in her chest like when a drum being played loudly was pounding in your chest , but this time it was different, much different.

Scratching his chin, he adjusted his loosely hung glasses which were on the bridge of his nose, the part protruded slightly, from what she remembered.

She remembered him being having more meat, but it was replaced with a skinnier frame, which made it more noticeable because of his jarring height which is already a titan's height comparing to, Ellie who was already considerably short compared to her peers.

She tilted her head. "You look, skinnier. Never ate much didn't you?"

Julio held up a hand to protest, but, Ellie, being a student in the culinary arts beat him to it, already informing him about what or what not to eat in college even if he was broke and lazy, but he was definitely not the one of the two.

Not even both of those actually.

"You've gotta eat your carbs, bread, rice, porridge, anything! You're so rich you can afford it! So eat up will ya?"

He nodded. "Yes, yes, yer not my mom."

She laughed, grabbing his arm gently, which he didn't flinch at, and relaxed under her touch. It was like he was starved from it for so long, not surprising when he derived himself from girls in Switzerland to stay loyal to, Ellie.

He had really missed her.

"Wanna pay for the food? Ya can have the bread by the way." Julio offered, picking up the bread with the plastic and clear tongs, placing the bread on, Ellie's tray.

She scoffed. "I don't need a pity from a skinny kid."

Winking, he grabbed her tray with ease, already walking to the counter with a skip in his step, aware that the lady at the counter was watching the whole thing unfold.
