Theo:

Bzzzz

"Hello?" I answer, unknown number.

"Hi is this Miss Theodora Larson?" A deep voice asks.

"Yes. Who is this?" I say.

"This is Detective Alvarez with the Boston PD. I would like to have you come to the station for some follow ups." He asks.

"Is there any possibility I could come in a week or so? We are on tour right now and I'm in Upstate New York. We have a show tonight, so I can't cancel it. We have a week off starting on Sunday next week, I could fly in then from our stop in Milwaukee?"

"Sure, I'll put you in for Monday at noon?" He says, more sternly than a question.

"See you then." I say, hanging up.

"Who was that?" Derek asks, grabbing some clothes after getting out of the shower.

"Boston PD. About that stuff with Kyle." I say looking down at my bracelet, twisting it on my wrist.

"Everything will be fine." He sits down, towel on.

"Oh god, please put some clothes on..It's like seeing my brother naked." I close my eyes as he throws on pants and a shirt.

"Not like you've never seen me naked before." He pushes my arm. One time when we were 18, we snuck out and went to the lake. Us and a few friends went skinny dipping, ran from the cops practically naked.

"Ugh, don't remind me. Your naked ass running through the woods still haunts my brain." I laugh.

"Well let's go. We got a show to prepare for." He grabs the keys and heads downstairs. What to wear, what to wear. I pull out some clothes from my bag. I pull out an old pair of ripped, black jeans, light pink, faded vans, and Collin's Drexel hoodie. I need this tonight. I wish he was here. I miss him more than anything, even though I just saw him this morning. 18 hours isn't enough. I can't imagine everything he has gone through with me, what we have gone through. I guess it's true that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Cliché as it is. I fix my hair in the mirror, lining my eyeliner and wings to match. My mascara pops as I pull it out, making my eyelashes ten times longer. I love that my eye colors are so vibrant sometimes. Makes me feel unique.

"LET'S GO SLOW POKE!" Derek yells from downstairs.

"Coming, I'm coming." I rub down the stairs.

"Ready?" His mom asks, OLN t-shirt on, jeans and vans.

"Damn, you look better than I do!" I joke. She wraps her arm in mine.

"Honey, you slay" I burst out laughing. We get in the car and head to the venue.

"Man, I haven't been back here in so long. Everything is so different yet it stays the same." We drive around for a bit, looking at the old places we used to hangout in. The bowling alley, the diner we used to sit at almost every Friday. The coffeeshops, downtown. We pull up to the venue. Northern Lights, well I guess it's called Upstate Concert Hall now, but it'll always be Northern Lights to me. Small, a bar in the center and stage in the back. Not much room, but I loved coming to shows here, everything is so personal when you're in a smaller room.

"Theo, is that you?" A girl from the line out front calls my name.

"Holy shit, Holly?" She hugs me.

"Wow! You look amazing!" She looks me over. She was nice in high school, kinda nerdy, kept to herself.

"It's so good to see you! How are you?" I ask.
