"Kara? James?" You yell alarmingly.
"Superman?" A middle aged lady across the restraunt exclaims in puzzled tone.
He lifts up one of the tables from the corner of the room and shatters the top glass frame of it in front of you, as shards bounce from the hard floor. Before the shards reach your face: The moment is changed by a dark red cloack covering your face as a brave expression and protective stance helps to shelter you.
"Thank you." You whisper gently as Supergirl nods before running over to help Guardian.

Superman flies with his head only just touching the ceiling. Short beams of heat aim directly over to him from Supergirl's eyes. He douges this whilst still in the air, facing down arrogantly with a hellish red in his eyes over at Guardian. He grabs him by his chest armour and throws him against the wall like an unwanted doll.
As Supergirl looks over to superman, she holds the heat vision from her eyes this time whilst superman joins in with his beam from his eyes having a blood red hue.
They both roar whilst struggling to retain their powers as their veins and sweat starts to show in their foreheads and necks. As Supergirl's power edges closer and closer to superman's pupils... They hit him with a temper, sending him back the same way that he had left Guardian.

Not long after guardian gets up from the wall which at this point, is cracked open on one side. his body was coved in white dust from the wall and dark chocolate coloured wood, snapped from the impact. He removes part of the building from him and grunts in pain whilst Supergirl helps him up. They're both still gasping for air from exhaustion and sharp pain in their bodies.

"National city is my city, and this won't be the last that you'll see of me!" Superman exclaims ferociously whilst getting up and breathing intensely.

He flies away suddenly, leaving everyone around having been shaken up by what they just witnessed, to be terrified by this threat since they put their safety in the hands of Superman (as well as Supergirl.)

"That's not the Superman I know."
Supergirl whispers to herself in distress.

She looks worries for Guardian. Supergirl rubs his back eager to see if he's okay before they head out of the building within the blink of an eye.

At this point, your heart is beating out of your chest. After what happened, you've been looking everywhere for Kara and James just to find no luck. Just as your hands begin to shake and your lips begin to quiver, you begin to head through the hallway to go through the small exit door. As soon as you push it open -

"Y/n!"
A fragile voice yells.
"Kara! I was looking everywhere for you and James. I'm really relieved that you're okay... But I couldn't find James I'm soo sorry." You explain as your words start to shake and your eyes start to water.
"It's okay, I texted James and he said that he's okay, but he had to go home once he saw the fighting. Things are very tough for him right now."
She responded softly whilst comforting you by rubbing your arm.

"Thank goodness your okay. I'm soo sorry that the night ended how it did."
"It's okay, it's not your fault that all of this happened." You reply.
"I can make it up to you with game night again tomorrow. I promise it won't be anything like last time."
She laughs whilst ajusting her glasses, as you both walk out of the building.
"Sure." You say without hesitation.

Throughout the rest of the week:
You and Kara seem to be hanging out at lunchtimes, game nights and even before work. You felt like you'd known each other for years, yet it's only been a week. You miss her rants about Cat Co and her very sweet but somewhat clumsy behaviour at times. Like when she tripped over the leg of her desk and managed to break it somehow. She must've been incredibly strong to have been able to have done that. But anyways... At least you get to see her, and you can't imagine anyone else by your side right now. Especially whilst you're soo far from home.
