After you and Kara have spend some time around the city, you both head into a local restaurant to pick up Kara's coffee. You decide to grab a table before it's taken, since the place is practically crowded. You sit there patiently whilst Kara's standing in line. As soon as the cup is placed in her hands, your eyes dart over to notice Lena towards the end of the line. You stare with a blank face until she turns to look back at you.
Kara then quickly paces her way over to you with her cup.
"You can have this if you want." She kisses your forehead suddenly before expanding her words.
"I've just been told by Alex that there's an emergency, I'll be back as soon as I can!"
She rushed her words out before speeding out of the area. All you see is a red flash of her cape, before she's gone.
Being slightly lost, you sit there calmly, taking a sip of the drink placed in front of you.
Lena then break herself out of the queue, to confidently walk over.
She pulls out the seat opposite you, previously reserved for Kara.
"You know how you told me that you trust Kara?" She said curiously.
You nod your head, wanting nothing more than to leave the table. At the same time, your good nature and patience got the better of you... Along with the fact that you were eger as to what she was on about.
Lena pulls her phone out of her handbag and presents you with a video of Kara, in her suit:
She's got her hands wrapped around the waist of a woman with golden wavy hair, that's wearing a tight pencil dress and is a few inches taller than her. They're then a few cenimeters away from kissing, before you abruptly pause the video.
"Well it's obvious that you edited that! I don't even know who the person with her is!" You shout begrudgingly.
Lena laughs teasingly. "I told you not to trust her. There's no way that I could edit that to look as convincing as it does recorded."
"But where did you get this from? I still don't believe that Kara would even think about cheating on me." You reply, still having faith in Kara.
"You know how she was on the news last night, after holding a speech? A speech about hope? A speech about justice? A speech about love?"
"Yes, I was watching that live on the TV in Kara's flat... But she came home late."
You explain in distress as all the pieces are fitting together and all the assumptions are ringing in the back of your mind. Lena shakes her head, whilst gripping your hand in sympathy.
"Lena, if you're lying to me-
I swear to-"
You have a outburst of anger before she gently rubs your back and gives you a small hug. Something still doesn't sit right about this though, since you put soo much love and trust in Kara. Ethier way, you get a text from her half an hour after Lena leaves you with a broken heart. You're just sat there, somber and weak, until you react from your phone going off on the table;
" Hey xx I'm on my way home now. See you there! Love you X"
You then text her back:
"There's something I need to talk to you about when I get there."
You then collect your stuff and head over to her place... Dreading the possibility that Lena might be right...
