Writer's notice:
I'm publishing this now because I might be taking a break from Wattpad for a bit. Enjoy the chapter. 💛As the three of them are at the other end of the portal, they glance up:
Transparent cabinets, smaller than bathroom stalls. Each had a glowing floor, much like the DEO cells, except you could hardly move in these ones. They were all in a row with very little space separating the prisoners that fell victim to this Superman's so called 'morals.' They pleaded for freedom with their eyes. They turn around and look to one of the cells placed in the centre of the row.
The other Alex walks away without noticing the three snooping around."Alex! John! Supergirl!" You say relieved.
They turn around.
"Y/n!" Alex says happily.
"We're going to get you out of there, okay?" Supergirl explains bravely.
You nod anxiously whilst she uses heat vision. Supergirl strains herself trying to break the glass with all of her strength. Realising that it's not going to work she sighs heavily and turns back to the others."What do we do?"
You hear the swipe of the portal opening back up, followed by footsteps gradually becoming less and less distant.
Supergirl, Alex and John crouched round one of the large machines by the corner of the area."Y/n! Supergirl told me that you needed help!"
Dreamer says softly. She advises you to stand back before pressing her fingers to her head. She pushes her mind to break the walls down as all of the pieces are piled mainly outside of the cell. A few pieces end up cutting you, leaving you with minor injuries.A loud slam ehcos in the room as all of the exits and entryways are tightly sealed shut and a blaring alarm sets off, ringing in everyone's ears. A tall figure walks up proudly to people who are cupping their ears. Placing his hands on his hips, Superman grabs a piece of lead from the machinery as sparks jump out from the loose wires. He lifts it up effortlessly and throws it at Supergirl. She grasps it, bending the metal slightly. She chucks it over to the corner of one of the cells shattering one frame of it, as one of the victims sprints off in fear. Whilst Supergirl and Superman are fighting each our energeticlly, pulling each others arms, hitting each other brutally and violently; Dreamer stands back, and uses her powers to obliterate all of the glass walls.
Whilst surrounded by hundreds of inoccent people all scattered round, guards run up to tackle them to the ground. John goes over to help Dreamer and fight off the guards one by one. They're all crying and grasping onto the exit, pleading to escape. As they continue to race up and attack the guards, Supergirl sprints to the entrance whilst superman is trying to pull her back amoungst the crowd of people. The vains and biceps start to intensely show, as she slowly pulls back the layers of the door with a struggle and rage. Alex pulls Superman back. He attempts to hit her with his arm, but she reacts quickly and ducks. She injects him in the side of his neck with a green, glistening, liquid as he whimpers in agony and falls to the floor. She releases the needle quickly, not putting the full amount in his body.Everyone runs over to each other as the rest of the prisoners have escaped.
"I'm soo sorry, I had to do it." Alex distressed under her breath.
"You did what you had to do." Dreamer replies sympathetically as Supergirl nods.
Supergirl runs over to you whilst struggling to breathe from exhaustion. She hugs you tightly whilst whispering:
"I'm soo glad you're okay."
You look at her with confusion, wondering why Supergirl is showing soo much compassion when the most that you've known of her in the past was from a TV screen. She gulps before look down distraught.
"I feel weak."
You whimper before she lifts up your legs with one arm, and back with the other, looking down at you to check if you're okay before flying off, carrying you steadily in her arms.
