After asking multiple questions to Lena about L- corp; the story behind how the company started, the intentions and motivations of the company, etc... You take as many notes as you can. On a small, lined notepad. Scribbling away, occasionally making eye contact as she talks. As more minutes pass by, you feel more and more invested by what she has to say. She stays raw and honest with you about both the good and bad of the company:
"A lot of personal issues got in the way of my reputation when starting the company, so I was doing multiple press interviews, and later on started going to conferences to prove that I was more than a Luthor."
She explained, before delicately grasping the glass cup of water, and taking a sip whilst leaving you deep in thought for a second...
"- because You're lex's sister and Lilian's daughter... Right?"
"Yes." Lena admits timidly.
You nod before continuing.
"Kara told me."
Her eyebrows dropped down with her head tilted slightly. Her eyes looking at you sharply.
You think to yourself for a moment:
I really shouldn't have said that. I didn't really think first about the implication. But how was I supposed to know otherwise?... Kara never told me that she hated Lena or anything of the sorts. In fact she didn't tell me much at all about how she feels about Lena, so to say that was more of a shot in the dark over anything else. Ethier way, one thing was for definite, I shouldn't bring Kara up whenever talking to Lena. Which is a shame, because I could see me and Lena hanging out and being friends. At the same time, I don't want to upset my girlfriend so...
You flipped over the pages to the candy pink cover of the pad and collected your bag:
"Thank you soo much for the interview Miss Luthor." You say politely.
"Please, call me Lena." She smirks whilst subtlety fiddling with a strand of her thick, jet black ponytail.
After leaning the strap of the handbag on your shoulder, you notice Lena's eyes following you as you proceed to exit.
"Y/n?" Lena quietly calls your name as soon as your left palm touches the silver door handle.
She sits up with tense shoulders before continuing, somewhat nervously.
"I was debating if this was a good idea or not... Since me and Kara aren't exactly on the best of terms right now. However I would like to put the grudge between me and her behind us for one night. Since you're new here I thought that it would be a nice gesture to invite you and Kara to a conference that is happening in the city, celebrating obsidian and for other tech companies to present their ideas. I thought that you'd be interested in going to also benefit the article you're writing. It will be happening this Tuesday... If you decide to go."
She then breaks eye contact with you abruptly when you smile back at her.
"That's a great idea for the article, I'll go talk to Kara, see if she'd be willing to come with."

It's now the following Tuesday. Kara hesitated to go at first, but then changed her mind and said that she'll go with you. You and Kara walk over to the event with your hands interlocking. The event is held outdoors, with multiple stools, with logos belonging to their represented companies to show off their products. It all just feels like a contest really of who has the best ideas and resources. Neither you nor Kara were that bothered by it all though. You were each there for different reasons as most of the others.
Kara was here for you, you were here for the article on L corp, but you had a slight pit in your stomach about the intentions behind being invited. So you ask Kara what you'd been tip towing your way around asking her beforehand. -
"Kara, what happened between you and Lena?" You question curiously.
"Well..." She then clears her .. before getting ready to explain. The conversation is interrupted by a low voice from behind you.
"I'm up next, wish me luck." Lena says stood close to me, raising an eyebrow whilst also looking at Kara emotionless.
"Good luck." you both say timidly, whilst Kara plasters a false smile on her face before Lena makes her speech in front of a row of cameras.
Kara's cheeks went a shade of cherry red. She had her arms folded whilst glaring up at her from the array of news outlets that were mesmerised by her words.
"I'll listen to this speech, then we can go babe."
You assure her with a small kiss on the cheek. She gives you a innocent miniscule grin. Then you decide to take a fews photos for your work, whilst Kara waits amongst the back of the crowd.
Afterwards, you go back to comfort Kara, since she seems uncomfortable around here, especially since Lena's really rubbed her the wrong way.
-Lena then slowly walks over to both of you since she finished her speech a few minutes ago...
