"I can't believe this!" She snaps aggressively under her breath before carrying on:
"I told her that you're my girlfriend to her face! -
You backed away, right?"
"Yes of course." You reply unhesitatingly.
"Right, that's it! Tomorrow I'm going to sort things out!"
You quietly mumble in an attempt to intervene, but Kara's pent-up anger cuts you off.
"She can't take you away from me! I'm still shocked as to why she'd go as far as to break my relationship with you! I know that she hates me but I didn't think that she was that sly!"
She continues to rant, being baffled and feeling betrayed. This wasn't the first time that she felt betrayed, but it was a step too far in Kara's eyes, considering how much she cared about you...

The next day, Kara wakes up early, since she couldn't sleep. Still feeling hurt and restless, getting into work on time was always her priority. However, she had a second priority today.
Kara gets in to work earlier than you do, but behaves more sturn and cold than usual. Conveniently, you see her standing in the elevator with the doors closing in on her. She holds it open for you but accidentally bends the metal inwards on the side of one of the doors. She lets out a heavy sigh, before continuing to clutch onto her folders and report's notes. Her shoulders are upright, not making any eye contact with you:
"Kara, are you okay?" You ask concerned as she finally looks at you. She gives you a more innocent look before explaining;
"I'm good." She claims falsely.
"Is this about what I told you yesterday? If it is then I can promise you that I don't like Lena in that way."
"Promise?" She asks, sounding fragile.
"Promise."
You both stare at each other for a few minutes, happy that you have one another. Then the doors open, one of the doors is unable to close all the way from Kara having had accidentally taken out her frustration on it. It still closes though...
"It'll be fine." Kara whispers, convincing herself in the process. You chuckle before stepping out.
"You not coming over to your desk?"
"Actually I'm going to speak to Lena first."
She says in a strangely calm tone. As she says that, you nod your head slowly... Knowing what that means. She raises her eyebrows before the doors close again, hopping that all goes well.

Once Kara gets to Lena's floor, her pearl white heals can be heard louder and louder as she walks closer and closer in the Lutor's range.
"Lena?" Kara grabs her attention, calling out her name passive aggressively, with her arms folded behind her office.
"Kara? You can't just barge in here without my permission. That is incredibly unprofessional!" Lena exclaims sounding almost stunned at Kara's change in attitude.
"Right. Just like you didn't ask for permission to hit on my girlfriend." She sneered back.
