"You still love me?" You ask before a brief pause.
"I love you too." You say innocently, whilst supporting her chin up which was previously facing the floor.
You then sit beside her on the bed and give her a quick kiss, before she grips your hand as you are lead downstairs for your takeaway.
The next day at work:-
As you're sat at your desk, holding back your tonge whilst catching up on your latest article. Your fingertips dance around the keyboard as you're busy typing away, invested in your own writing. In that moment, your work is your main priority... Until the feeling of a presence behind you intervens:
"Do you and Miss Danvers have a moment to spare? If so, then could you head up to my office as soon as possible?"
A low and articulate female voice politely asks after you turn around to face her.
You take a moment to wait for Kara's response, but her eyes are glued on Lena's.
"Sure." Kara responds with false enthusiasm.
"I'll wait on the upper floor then." She confirms before exiting the office floor as her figure becomes less visible. You both look somewhat lost in thought whilst walking over to the elevator.
"Do you think that I'm going to lose my job? Am I in trouble?"
Kara questions with a stutter.
"No Kara, I'm sure that it'll be okay." You assure her, gently brushing her hair out of her face with your hands.
She replies with a brief smile, as you admire her smile lines... Before the silver doors open to a chilly and dark office.
Lena's sat uncomfortably at her desk, seemingly concerned.
"Y/n. Kara." She mentions to herself with little breath.
Lena then gets up from behind her desk.
"I'm soo sorry for doing this during work hours. I hope that talking to the two of you now isn't too much of a bother."
"It's no problem."
You reply kindly, knowing that whatever this is must be urgent if Lena wanted to talk to both of you immediately.
"I owe you two an apology."
Kara gives a slight nod before Lena continues to explain.
"Wait?-
You know what I'm about to say?"
You both nod.
"Y/n sent me the video and I showed it to brainy to analyze."
Kara claims. Lena then stares you down begrudgingly, like you're beneath her level of respect.
"That was very cynical of you Y/n... But I guess I'm not one to talk."
After admitting that, she lets out a faint whisper:
"I'm sorry."
Refusing to make eye contact with either of you, Lena releases a heavy breath before expanding on her words.
"I tried to destroy what you two had. I understand that what I did was petty. All I did was embarrass myself and possibly destroyed what could've been a mutual connection between me and Y/n, and I put M'gann in danger as a result of that. I'm soo sorry."
Her eyes finally rise to yours after letting out the last word.
"Have you apologized to M'gann?" You ask.
"Yes, although understandably; she may never forgive me."
"I can forgive you with time, just as long as you don't put anyone else in danger." Kara says whilst you agree.
"You have my word."
Lena claims with a little more confidence.
"I think that we still need to give it time though, me especially since M'gann is my friend."
Kara emphasises whilst gently pressing her glasses upwards.
"I think I need more time to think about it as well."
You say with half a smile, trying to let Lena down gently.
"I understand."
Lena replies, with a sunken heart.
"I best let you get back to your work." She states with a perkier change of tone. You both agree and Kara goes out of her way to hold the door for you before following you out of the office as you both arrive back to your work spaces.
As a few hours pass by, you spend another evening in Kara's flat. She rests her head on your chest, you both ramble for a few hours whilst having pizza this time for a change from your usual Pop's takeaway's.
"I still don't understand why Lena kidnapped M'gann. It just doesn't make sense to me."
Kara says, baffled.
"I know, it just seems like pure insanity to me."
You reply, matching her expression.
"I think that you broke her heart."
"How? I hardly know her." You chuckle in disbelief slightly.
"Love at first sight?"
Kara asks cheesily, whilst laughing as you roll your eyes;
"I hope not."
"What do you mean?"
"Well I love you, not Lena." You explain, still shy to get the words out.
