Need you now (Kara Danvers x reader)

Lena's envy

"Hey." Lena says cheerfully with a whine glass placed delicately in her left hand.
"Hi" Kara replies brushing her off and rolling her eyes.
"Can I just have a word with y/n for a second?" Kara squints in response, but agrees. She goes over and starts a conversation with Audra of all people.

"You know that she's going to turn her back on you as soon as you start to trust her, right?" Lena claims with her speech slightly slurred.

"Excuse me?!" You reply in a state of shock.

"She may mean the world to you, but she ment the world to me too untill she labelled me as a villain and treated me as such. You may not be a Luthor, but she'll find one flaw and see you as nothing more than that issue or mistake you made."

Lena explains as she sounds more and more aggressive and cold after each sentence is said.

"Now, I may not know you that well, but I think that you deserve better than someone who treats you that way."

"I'm sorry that Kara made you feel that way, but I already trust her and love her. I know that she's not going to hurt me, because she's not that type of person." You explain softly.

She looks at you from head to toe before inching closer to you.

"You're too innocent and kind for her." Lena whispers gently.

She tilts her head to a slight angle whilst closing her eyes. That's when you realise what this is, and what she's trying to do. You can smell the strong scent of Chardonnay wine before stepping back uncomfortably, since y'know... You don't want to kiss anyone except Kara. But you especially don't want to kiss (who seems to be) her worst enemy yet.

"Lena, you know that me and Kara are dating, I don't want to kiss you, and I don't want a three way relationship. I'm sorry." You say bluntly as her eyes start to water and red lips slightly quiver.

Finally, you see your favourite person walk up to you. She is welcomed by a frown, from Lena's broken heart, wiping a tear away from her cheek... Giving you both a sturn look before walking the other way.

"What's going on?" Kara asks, confused.

You face down to the floor before replying:
"Are we going back to your place?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I need to talk to you about Lena."

Kara seems slightly baffled, but nods before the both of you go back to her place. Usually, it would be to snuggle up with some hot chocolate and watch a film, but you really needed to get this off of your chest first. Although you didn't do anything, you still felt guilty and as if it was your own fault for not noticing the signs that Lena was giving you.

As you and Kara enter the apartment, your mind wonders whilst considering how to explain this to her.

What if I gave Lena the wrong idea that I liked her? I was just trying to be kind and give off a good first impression that's all. Will Kara be mad at me?

Kara slouches on the large beige sofa, covering herself with a fluffy white blanket, before looking up at you.

"Come and tell me what's up then." She says in a gentle tone, before patting the reserved end of the sofa. She puts her arm around you before you begin to explain:

"Lena told me that you painted her out to be a villain, and stopped being friends as a result...
And then she tried to kiss me."
"WHAT?!" Kara shouts, before laughing in disbelief.
