Biggest Wattpad Pet Peeves

Before I begin, I owe you guys a huge apology because I know I've become one of those people I've ranted on previously. I didn't want to put this work on hold because I thought I could keep working on it. But it's my senior year and I suddenly got so busy with apps and stuff that I practically forgot about its existence. I know it's no excuse for not at least putting it officially on hold, but that's essentially what happened. So I'm sorry for leaving you hanging, guys. After this post, the rant book will be put on hold until vacation, unfortunately.

Another thing. This topic is a little late, but better late than never, right?

One last thing before I start. I know I've stressed over and over that the dedication is not in any way meant to implicate someone who is guilty of what I rant on, but this chapter is the one single exception to that. I hope maybe possibly they'll see what I write and take it into consideration. I'll probably send the admin a message too, or something.

Now. An open letter to the Wattpad profile:

Dear Wattpad profile,

You were so good before! Why did you feel the need to change who you are? Don't conform to fit in with the other websites! Show your individuality! You are better than them!

I miss the old you. I miss the easy navigation. I miss the convenient layout. I miss the recent comments. I miss the dedications. I miss the logical order of the works. I miss the message board. I miss the status bar. Gosh, I miss the status bar. How else am I supposed to share the random weird and exciting things that happen to me with everyone?

And now every little thing I say or do on Wattpad is posted for everyone to see. Where's my privacy! This violates the privacy clause or something - no wait, that's about something else.

But seriously, no one likes who you've become. No one. We all loved the old you, and we dearly miss the profile that you used to be. Please, please, please come back to us!

Disclaimer: I really do appreciate that Wattpad is trying to improve things for us. But this new profile is not the way to do it. I can give you a whole list of more serious reasons, if you'd like (if you somehow actually like the new profiles - but I think the apocalypse will happen if someone actually likes them).

And by the way! I was not pleased the day that my profile was forcibly changed to the new profile! I mean, really. Take a hint, Wattpad. What should the fact that I went on Wattpad a gazillion times and never once clicked on the switch-to-new-profile button tell you? That I required Wattpad's assistance for switching to the new profile because either I can't read the words "Change to new profile", I'm blind and didn't see the button in the first place, or I'm challenged at clicking on buttons? (Actually, sometimes I am challenged with buttons and other times I do feel and act very blind - there are so many depressing stories about that - but that's beside the point.) Maybe I didn't want the new profile, ever think of that, Wattpad?
