Slowly, things were falling to its right places.
Enoch and Sean reconciled with each other and so as with Cian. The trio is complete again. And I am just so happy about it.
"You looked blooming these past few days anak. Care to share what's happening?"
Napalingon ako sa likuran ko and I saw daddy Blue standing behind me while smiling. Ngiting nakakaloko at hindi ko alam ang gustong iparating.
Napailing ako at napatawa. Umupo si daddy Blue sa harapan ko at isinara ko ang hawak kong libro.
"Matagal ko na kayong hindi nakaka-bonding ng kapatid mo ah. I'm sorry anak. I'm just really busy at work", sabi ni daddy
"Dad, it's okay. Naiintindihan naman namin ni Enoch. Hindi naman namin 'yon ginagawang big deal", sagot ko
It's okay, really. We understand that daddy Blue is busy at work. After all, kami rin naman ang magmamana ng lahat ng pinaghirapan ni daddy.
Sometimes, nakakatampo lang pero hindi naman kami nagtatanim ng sama ng loob kay daddy.
"So, what's up?", tanong ni daddy
Hindi ko alam kung dapat ko bang sabihin kay daddy. Ang awkward din kasi. Pero I think, he deserves to know what's happening in my life.
"Nagkabati na kami nila Sean dad", nakangiting sagot ko
Ngumiti lang si daddy at dahan-dahang tumango.
"So, is he courting you now?", tanong ni daddy
Natahimik ako.
Actually, hindi ko rin alam. I just know that we're okay, but I don't know what's our label.
He just said that he wanted us to start all over again, pero hindi niya naman sinabing i-level up namin yung friendship naming dalawa.
"I.....don't know", sambit ko
It was almost a whisper because I felt so embarassed. Again, I pity myself.
I'm starting to ask myself again. What if I just assumed that there's something between us? What if I was just the only one hoping we'd level up the friendship? What if I am really just the only one in love?
"Manliligaw pa lang tito. Of course I need to go through you and Enoch first"
Nanlaki ang mga mata kong nakatingin kay daddy matapos kong marinig ang boses na 'yon.
I looked behind me and I saw Sean standing there, holding a boquet of my favorite flowers and boxes of chocolates.
God, my heart.
"Sean", mahinang pagtawag ko sa kanya
I don't know but I just suddenly felt like crying because of too much happiness right now.
I never imagined that I'll be seeing the man I love, standing in front of me-shining as he smiles at me.
"Hi", nakangiting bati niya
Lumapit siya at inabot sakin ang mga dala niya. Kaagad ko rin namang tinanggap iyon.
As in, sobrang saya ko ngayon.
"Good morning, tito", bati niya kay daddy
"Well, I remember you saying you'll never court my daughter because she's like a sister to you", taas-kilay na sabi ni daddy
