From heart to glass,
There isn't much difference,
Because it shattered into a million pieces.
That's how long it lasts.
When I saw the golden glow,
My heart quivered,
A moment like that will never last.
I'll never see that dream again.
That's how long it lasts.
Happiness sparkled through my dreams,
That golden light gave me more than what I'd seen.
Sparkling eyes, a voice that drowned
Me into another world.
My love for the light was so vast.
That's how long it lasts.
On the last day I saw it, I realised,
My fantasy was a myth,
That golden glow was nothing, but
A simple light that touched my heart
In ways I've only dreamed of.
His heart set cast, mine broken glass.
That's how long it lasts.
