Fate

If fate gave you a choice,
Where would you make your story go?
Be it adventure?
Be it drama?
Would you take the easy or hard road?

If fate lead you to water,
Would you leap over or tread through?
If a puddle?
If a lake?
Or would you drown, too stuck to make a move?

If fate lead you to fire,
Would you get burnt or emanate from it?
If an ember?
If a blaze?
Would you embrace it or resist it?

If fate lead you to your nightmares,
Would you let your demons inflict?
Be it pain?
Be it loss?
Would you fear it or fight it?

If fate lead you to darkness,
Would you defy or give in?
If you ran?
If you followed?
Would you overcome the temptation?

You do have a choice,
Will you take the easy way or the hard way?
Will you conquer?
Will you struggle?
Fate gives you the endgame, but you make the pathway.
