I try to forget,
What they did to me.
But the pain,
Fights to stay in my memories.
I shake violently,
Tears continue to run.
My lips quiver,
My defense undone.
They continue to torture,
Even though I'm gone.
They get inside my head,
Where I face the pain alone.
I want to cry,
And run and cower.
They haunt me,
Where I have no power.
I want to stop the dreams,
All they do is remind.
But my memories are damaged,
They gave me a scarred mind.
