Will my mind, will it ever be fixed?
The constant thoughts and the constant mind tricks.
Like songs, songs on repeat,
Except they are versions that have been remixed.
A broken record playing on a scratch,
Can't move forward, can't move back.
So it plays the same words, the same tune,
Locked on with a latch.
Over and over and over again,
Blaring in the back of my mind.
A boombox reverberating the time when I thought that things could change,
But my songs they keep repeating my name.
They melodise and memorise word for word,
Keeping me in the memories, in the time that I heard.
All the confusion and delusion my mind was giving me,
But I had given in to them, going in to the blurred.
Diving head first, neck deep, getting lost in my head,
All the voices playing over and over again.
The needle's on the vinyl trying to skip over the song,
But the record keeps it going on and on, and they said.
Replay, remix, repeat,
The voices keep me locked.
My mind is the broken record
That will never complete,
And will always go back to that same song.
