Prison Sentence

I've been sentenced to prison,
For pretty much life.
I've been confined to four walls,
And I'm unable to strife
back.

I can't talk to whom I want to talk to,
I can't see the friends I want to see.
I'm not allowed to do things the way I want to do it,
I'm not allowed to stand on my own two feet.

I can't argue,
Because the warden gets angry worse.
So I try to shut my mouth and agree,
My life is simply a curse.

Bolted down and barred,
I'm trapped in my prison.
A forgotten shadow,
Never listened
to.

I've been held against my will,
It doesn't make much sense.
I'm waiting to escape,
From my prison sentence.
