ALLY'S POV

Numerous human beings filled the sidewalk. Couples, that were holding hands, blocked the busy street, causing some people to roll their eyes at them. Others hold their phones against their ear, also increasing their movements. Lastly, few of them walked normally, either looking at the sky or while using their phone.

I shoved my hands inside the pockets of my jacket. I tried to distance myself from all of the humans that were also walking, but I still managed to get squished. It's annoying to say at least.

I sighed. It's already the end of November and still, no one saw Lauren. Not even a glimpse. I had gone twice to her house, which always ends up empty as if she had moved out. I don't think it's possible that she would move out, she never liked her parents, and moreover won't stay at Dinah's because that would be more obvious to where I should find her, or maybe my visits weren't the right time.

I know that she needs her time, since she's been thinking I'm siding with Perrie, but I want to see her again. Not want, it's I needed to. I have to apologize to her. After finding out something a week ago, I-

A body collided with mine, making me lost my balance. The person was fast enough to grab me, helping to get myself up again. "Thank you." I said, straightening my clothes. "Your welcome." I looked up, seeing the same woman who has been clinging to my side.

"Oh ally, didn't thought it was you." Perrie smiled slightly, scratching the back of her neck.

"It's fine." I returned the smile. "It's nice seeing you but I have to go.". She raised a brow, "In a rush?"

"I just happened to be needed somewhere." I lied. She bought it anyways, letting me continue to walk, not before saying goodbye. Not long from the encounter ago, I spotted the woman I've been finding for weeks, blending into the crowd. My eyes held hope, in terms to talk to her once again. Sadly, I wasn't that fast to catch up to her. I frowned. I walked slowly at the side, head down. Suddenly, I was forcefully pulled to an empty alley, putting their hands over my mouth in order to not allow me to scream.

I closed my eyes, thinking that this was the end, waiting for the person to do something to me. Several minutes passed, nothing came except for them to push my back against the walls. The person caressed my cheek using their thumb. "Ally, open your eyes." The person, or the woman softly said. I did what she told me to do. Emerald eyes stared back at my chocolate ones. Pale cheek, the silky raven hair. I couldn't be wrong.

I wrapped my arms around her neck, pulling her down to give her a kiss. Lauren put her arms on my waist. I pulled back, placing my hands on her shoulder and slapping it. I glared at her, "Where have you been?!"

"You don't have to worry, I already made a note to the school about my absence." She smiled cheekily. "I'm doing some errands, with all the Lucy thing that's all."

"That's dange-". I held on what I was supposed to say back. "Be safe. And...I'm sorry." I avoided her look. The raven haired girl placed her hand on my cheek, "Ally, you don't have to be sorry. I have no idea what you're sorry for."

"It's about not believing you." I mumbled. "I'm sorry."

"Did something happened?"

"What?" I asked, looking at her. "Did something happened?" Lauren repeated.

"I-" A buzzed came from the pocket of her pants she wore. The taller girl straightened her back, looking at the exit of the alley. She looked at me once more, pecking my lips. "I have to go." In a blink of an eye, she was gone again.

The loneliness crept inside me for the 2nd time. What could she be really doing? I don't like how she would be handling this, but I have to trust her. Nevertheless, that doesn't calm myself knowing that her way IS a dangerous one. I shook the thought out of my head, continuing my walk from the park to get home.

~THE PAST WEEK EVENTS~

"Ally." Normani said, clicking on the mouse for a quite few minutes before facing the short woman and the tall woman who were playing on her couch. "I found it."

The shorter one stood walking to the computer. Dinah soon followed, putting her hands on the left side of her girlfriend's chair, lowering a little and squinting her eyes to read what the article or whatever website is it in. The poly's eyes widened. "No way."

Even if the Mexican woman doesn't want to believe it, but it's the truth. She bit the inside of her mouth as she continued to read. It was quiet between the three of them, till Normani decided to break it. "Uhm...Ally... Why don't you read it another ti-" She faced the blonde girl who had tears in her eyes. The cheerleader looked at her bestfriend with nothing but sadness.

Ally released a shaky breath. "I'm fine, let's...Let's continue." She smiled at the taller woman.

Dinah felt left out however, also feel betrayed. She wondered why the hell did her very TRUSTED friend or same with the two girls beside her, Her very own bestfriend did not tell her or even her own girlfriend about this. Arranged marriage? Mafia? The poly thought it only existed in those wattpad stories. She knew that there's crime, gangs like that, but the mafia thing? No.

'The Edwards, Vives, Jaureguis, Parkers are the largest and most known mafia groups in the world' The poly read that line again.

'Edwards and Vives agreement on helping each other.'

'Parkers,Vives and Edwards stealing thousands of money'

'Jauregui and Parkers agreement on helping each other.'

'Jauregui and Vives arrange marriage agreement in exchange for the money that the Jauregui's took'

"Michael Jauregui agreed to Carlos Vives offer in arrange marriage between the eldest daughter of the Jaureguis and the eldest daughter of the Vives. It is also to strengthen the bond between the Jaur-" The screen turned off as Dinah was about to mumble the next words.

"I think that's enough." Normani said, standing up and stretching her arms.

The poly took a step back, giving her space. Her eyes lingered to the blonde woman, who has her head hung low. "Ally-"

"I should be going." The shorter woman said, almost turning into a whisper. "Thanks guys." She grabbed her bag and left.

Normani wrapped her arms around the taller one's left arm as they both look at the door that was left slightly open by the shorter woman. Dinah sighed, "Do you think she would be okay?"

"I'm not quite sure, but I hope so." The dark beauty said.
