"...3 days?!"
Sirius said again in disbelief, not believing in what he had heard. Talulah nodded, a little concerned, but didn't say anything. Sirius looked down at his chest, which had healed over the course of three days. Barely anything could be seen except a thin white line where the slash had been. Taking a deep breath, he looked back at Talulah, who then was looking away, trying not to look at him.
"Yes, 3 days. You were out cold. Nothing I did could wake you, but I suspect that it wasn't from the wound. Am I correct?"
"You-"
Sirius then remembered his internal conflict where he was having the talk with his inner self. He didn't know what to make of it entirely, but he felt a little more at ease. So there was a part of him that remembered his past, but it refused to allow him to remember what had happened. Sighing, he nodded at Talulah.
"I'm not sure what it is exactly, but it was a memory fragment at best. I didn't get to see any of it though, since I was denied access."
He explained, telling her everything except for the part about her in the end, where Talulah herself had appeared in his inner world. That was a bit embarrassing for him to say, especially to her. She looked at him as he stopped there with a questioning, curious look.
"And? What happened?"
"W-well.. nothing. I just woke up after."
"You're a terrible liar, but you must have your reasons for not saying. I won't press for details, but you'll have to tell me one day. Got it?"
"Y-yeah! I promise!"
"Good. Now, what's our plan?"
"Our...plan?"
"Yes, our plan. We've been here for days. How do you feel?"
"Er- Fine, actually. I feel like I haven't been cut with a sword."
"Good, that means the treatment worked."
"Uh...what treatment?"
Talulah pointed to something on the side of the table. When Sirius looked at it, he saw that there was an empty syringe and a few bloodied bandages on the floor. Immediately, he felt bad. What had she gone through to keep him alive? Hopefully, it wasn't much, but looking at her eyes, he could see the dark spots under her eyes. She must've stayed up for nights waiting to see if he was okay.
"......Thank you, Talulah. You saved my life again."
"Again?"
"Well, since you didn't choose to kill me and directed me to a path that I wanted, you saved me from all the things that I didn't know of. Does that make sense?"
"Mm.. Sort of."
"Are you tired? You can sleep now if you want."
"What gave you that idea? I'm not tired."
She protested, but even she knew that she was and seemed like it. Giving a sigh, she put a hand to her temple and rubbed it. She knew she couldn't get past his persistence. Since it had come to that, she gave a nod with a pout and leaned against Sirius with her head on his shoulder, surprising him. A tint of red could be seen on his face.
"T-tal-"
"Shut it, or I'll burn you."
"I-"
"I mean it."
Sirius made a small noise and then gave a nod, which she smirked at and closed her eyes. Sirius took a deep breath and looked away, but he still had a few questions. Looking at Talulah, he decided to risk asking a few questions.
