"Alright, give it to me straight doc." I smiled at Doctor Smith as he closed the door behind him.

He chuckled. "I've known you for four months, I know you don't like to sugarcoat things."

I nodded. "Soo?"

He sighed and sat on the stool across from me. "Y/n, you know it's not too late to get the chemo."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm eighteen, I don't want to spend my teen years in the hospital-plus I don't wanna lose this voluptuous hair." He chuckled as I flipped my hair over my shoulder. "I have a motto that I live by, I die I die I mean," I shrugged. "It is what it is."

He nodded. "It is what it is."

I gasped and laughed. "Someone has a TikTok."

He nodded and sighed. "You're my favorite patient."

"I would hope so," I leaned back on my palms and raised a brow. "So, how long?"

He nodded. "Nothing a doctor ever says about a life expectancy is accurate so this is just a rough estimate and-"

"Come on Smitty, lay it on me."

He met my eyes. "A week."

"A week?"

"A week."

I waited for this news to hit me make me scared, sad, angry but...As I expected, I didn't feel anything.

"Wow...shit."

He frowned. "Shit."

I chuckled and shrugged. "Don't feel bad, now I get to say I'm going to live this week like it's my last and it actually be true."

He chuckled and shook his head. "So, what are you going to do with your possible last week?"

I hummed and thought about all the shit I could do in a week. I have five hundred thousand dollars saved up so I could really go anywhere...I got it.

"I'm going to rent an RV and go on a road trip."

He hummed. "Nice, go around exploring Cali. Who you taking?"

I hummed looking down. "Well, I don't have any friends or family."

"That's fine, spend a week on your own. You should always be your own best frie-"

"Or maybe I'll bring someone random."

He shook his head smiling. "I was waiting for that, anyone in mind or when you say random you mean random?"

I hummed once more.

I don't really like any- well...

"I know exactly who I'm asking."

-

"Hey freak!" Someone yelled causing me to turn around. Just as I turned around my sweater was met by a coffee.

I met some jock's eyes and shook my head. "Was it worth it?"

He frowned and glanced at his friends. "What?"
