Gohan took deep breaths as he hugged his chest, but smiled as he saw the Dragon Ball still down where he left it. He and Arlice may have taken a beating, but they still managed to get one step closer to having their wish. As the pain wore off, he moved closer to his friend. "You ok?"
Arlice groaned in response but stretched out as she started to regain the ability to move. "Give me a minute." Gohan nodded and grabbed the Dragon Ball then watched the young Saiyan work all her muscles and stand up. "We'd better hurry back to Bulma and Krillin. Vegeta is moving pretty fast and it won't take long for him to realize the stunt that we just pulled," Arlice explained, earning a head nod back. The two five-year-olds then took off at full speed back to the base.
Upon arriving, Gohan ran over to Krillin and Bulma raising the ball above his head like a trophy. Arlice landed five feet away taking a breath as Gohan told the others, "We should probably find a new hiding spot..." Krillin questioned the kid about the statement, to which Arlice answered, "We have probably ten minutes before Vegeta realizes we just stole this." Krillin's face of happiness dropped as he processed what the two kids had just done.
Within minutes, Bulma picked up the capsule house and the quartet flew away and set up a new camp in the crevices between mountains. Krillin told the kids he wanted to take them to see the grand elder, however, Bulma was not too pleased. "I have been alone most of this trip! No way are you leaving me again!"
"Come on, Bulma. These two need a power boost if we stand any chance at getting the other six Dragon Balls. And if you come with us you are at risk of Vegeta hurting you." Bulma huffed and took the Dragon Ball, but glared at the midget. "I'll stay here if you wish." The two turned shocked to the girl standing by them. "Gohan needs the power-up more than me. I can always go back later, and if anything we are putting Bulma at risk when she is alone. Plus, I'd rather not run into Vegeta at the moment..." Krillin looked at the girl. "You sure, Arlice?" The young Saiyan nodded and moved to start setting up the camp. "Alright... Gohan, let's get going." Gohan nodded and blasted off with Krillin towards the Grand Elder's place.
"Thank you for staying, Arlice." Said girl just looked up at the bluenette female and nodded giving a small smile. "You're welcome. I... I need to meditate anyway. Things just keep getting crazier and my mind is wiped" Bulma nodded as the girl before her sit by one of the walls and cross her legs. "No problem. I am right here if you need anything." Arlice gave a small nod then closed her eyes.
She started to tune out her surroundings and took deep breaths to try and calm down, however Arlice could feel herself continue to shake. In just a year and a half, her entire life and aspirations had changed so drastically. From finding out where she was from, meeting her father, her mentor dying and going to a whole nother planet just to get stuck in another fight against more assholes stronger than her, her mind was starting to get pretty scattered. She couldn't tell if the rage she found herself stuck with was making things more difficult, but if Piccolo had taught her anything it was to never lose sight of the task at hand, especially due to emotions. Arlice tried thinking back to all the lessons of Piccolo pissing her off on purpose and showing her just how easily defeated one could become when they let their emotions take the wheel. Letting out a deep breath, she tried to rid herself of the anger clogging up her mind.
By the time Arlice felt five large energies nearing the planet, she was able to calm herself down and relax her body. She opened her eyes and started to stretch out all of her joints. "What are you doing?" asked Bulma. "Well, there are five more people arriving on the planet, none of them Goku, and they are all stronger than the last batch of Frieza's goons. Considering everything that has happened up to now, I am preparing for a fight," answered the younger female. Bulma's eyes widened in fear of the new information but nodded. Arlice froze as she felt three familiar power levels approach the camp. Her eyes narrowed as she mumbled to herself, "What the hell are those two doing with him!"
Before Bulma could ask what Arlice was talking about, she felt a pull on her leg from where the Dragon Ball was tied. "Sorry, but we need this" Krillin mentioned to her, as Gohan laned next to his female peer. "We need your help, Arlice." Arlice looked at him then at her spiky-haired father who landed next to Krillin. "Hurry it up, would you!" Vegeta barked at the monk trying to untie the Dragon Ball. Arlice gave Gohan a look but said nothing. "We need him to help us if we want to win the fight ahead. We also need you." The female Saiyan sighed in frustration bu nodded and followed as Krillin and Vegeta took off. During the flight, Arlice used the connection that she built with Gohan during their training to tell him one thing.
"Just don't expect me to save his ass if the time comes"
