This is obviously not an update to the story but I felt the need to make this note. This will be posted on both this and The Lost Saiyan Princess so if you already read the other you don't need to read this one.
I just wanted to say that if you are going to protests, PLEASE STAY SAFE! I am white and I cannot imagine the anger and pain you must be feeling -- that you have been feeling for centuries -- nor will I pretend to. George Floyd was murdered and the four officers responsible should receive proper justice. I am generally not one to support violence, however most of the riots that are going on start as peaceful protests that only turn violent when the police show up. The black community has also been protesting peacefully for decades with little to no improvement. You have a right to be angry. You have a right to be heard. You have a right to be equal.
Even if you are not protesting, but live near where the protests are happening, also please be careful. I have seen pictures circulating of people going about their day and getting shot by rubber bullets for literally no reason. And back to those who are protesting, remember that the law enforcement is playing dirty. Just a few minutes ago I saw the video of a group of officers convincing protesters to kneel with them, only to tear-gas the protestors once they knelt. This is not ok.
If you are like me and can't donate, there are other ways to support the movement. There are numerous petitions that you can sign online. There is a video on Youtube ( https://youtu.be/bCgLa25fDHM ) where all the ad-revenue gets donated to "associations that offer protester bail funds, help pay for family funerals, and advocacy listed in the beginning of the video." You can also take this time to educate yourselves. Yesterday (where I am) was Blackout Tuesday. Remember that just posting a black square on Social Media is not a sign that you support the movement. Black rights are not just a trendy challenge online: only repost stuff if you actually care and support the community.
