As Recoome started mouthing off Vegeta, all Arlice could think about was how much she hated this guy. He looked like the pinnacle of stupid, his voice and constant blabbering was more annoying than a mosquito, and his cocky attitude was the worst she had come across. Sure, she could have been concerned about how strong he seemed, but by the way he was acting Arlice couldn't even respect the energy that flowed around him. When her father blasted off and decked his opponent in the face, Arlice couldn't help but smile.
While Gohan and Krillin had fallen to the ground due to the power in Vegeta's attacks against Recoome, Arlice looked on excited as she watched the larger fighter get hit with various attacks. However, she grimaced as soon as she saw that all the attacks managed to do was make Recoome look uglier. While he was scratched up, the fighter looked as if he hadn't even noticed the damage that was dealt to him. I guess this won't be so easy after all, Arlice thought to herself.
The young Saiyan's doubt only grew as she watched Recoome start to fight back. Seeing her father get kneed in the face with such force made Arlice anxious, and as Vegeta's attacks kept getting blocked she felt herself getting antsy. Her body started to shake, her fingers started twitching, and by the time Vegeta was hit into the water she had unconsciously started holding her breath. While the Saiyan prince was able to launch out of the water and catch Recoome by surprise, the victory was short-lived. Recoome grabbed Vegeta and rammed him into the ground at full speed.
When Recoome pulled Vegeta out of the ground, Arlice could see he was covered head to toe in scratches and areas of his outfit were ripped open. Again, Vegeta was able to catch his opponent off guard and blast Recoome in the face. He was able to get free, but now Recoome was angrier than before. As the alien prepared an attack, Arlice couldn't take it anymore. She didn't know why, but seeing Vegeta get pummeled by this idiotic man filled her with the most rage she had felt since the fight with Nappa. Maybe it was because her friends would need Vegeta if they were to go against Frieza, or maybe some part of her cared about Vegeta, she could figure that out later. For now, all she could think to do was fight.
She muttered a small, "come on," to her peers, but didn't even wait for them to respond as she jumped forward to upper hook Recoome. She saw red as she launched a barrage of punches and kicks. She noticed Krillin had joined her and landed some hits while she prepared a ki blast. When he got kicked to the side, the Saiyan girl shot a ball of ki towards the alien. Her eyes narrowed when she saw he wasn't there. The powerful kick to her back broke her concentration as she flew into a small hill.
Arlice looked up in time to see Recoome punch her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her. Too shocked to move, she felt her body get kneed, elbowed and kicked around like a rag doll until one final punch to the cheek knocked her out cold. Gohan stopped checking on Krillin to stop the large man from killing his friend, but only got the same treatment as Arlice. He stood up with great strain and looked at Recoome. "You may be strong, but you are nothing compared to my dad," said the half-Saiyan. Gohan jumped and tried to punch his foe, but a quick kick to his neck forced him into unconsciousness.
As Gohan's body lay twitching on the ground, a Jeice and Burter watched a ship land on the planet. Seconds later a flash of red flew by the two Ginyu force members and right by Recoome, almost knocking the buff alien off of his feet. Goku looked down at the state his son was in and kneeled, carefully picking up his head. "It's ok, son. I'm here now."
Recoome yelled at Goku, angry at being ignored, but Goku kept focusing on Gohan. "It's going to be fine. Just eat this." Goku put a senzu bean into Gohan's mouth and helped him swallow it. Instantly, Gohan awoke at full strength. "Dad! You're here!" Gohan yelled in joy, giving Goku a hug. Goku dusted Gohan off a bit as the Ginyu force guys looked on in shock.
As the father and son walked over to help Krillin, Gohan explained what happened. "Guess we have our work cut out for us," Goku said as he bent down to give his lifelong friend a senzu. Krillin ate the bean then stood up with Goku. Krillin tried to explain everything, but Goku shushed him, opting to read his friend's mind instead. As he complimented his peers for everything he had done, Goku grabbed the last two senzu beans out of the pouch.
"Vegeta! Take these!" Goku yelled as he threw them to the wounded Saiyan. Recoome tried to eat one but just managed to bite on thin air. Vegeta caught the two beans with ease as Krillin yelled at Goku. Vegeta stared at the beans before eating one of them. He looked at the second one then raised his head and scanned the area. His gaze finally rested on the body of his daughter that rested in a creator in the ground. He stood up and made his way over to it.
Krillin looked at Goku. "How did you know he would give it to Arlice instead of just keeping it for himself?" Goku just watched as Vegeta fed the bean to the young Saiyan, just as Goku had done to Gohan less than a minute ago. "They may not have the best relationship, but that is still his daughter. After seeing Gohan on the ground my first priority was to heal him up. I imagine Vegeta must have felt the same way." Goku explained.
Arlice's eyes shot open and she sat up in Vegeta's arms. It took a moment of breathing and staring at the older Saiyan for her to figure out what just happened. She calmed herself down then looked at the ground. "Thanks..." she said.
