It's been over a month since Tari and Meggy's first time. It's kinda hard to even LOOK at each other without giggling. After a while, it came to pass. But then... outta nowhere, Meggy asked Tari for something she wasn't ready for. Tari was playing video games, with her duck Archibald on her lap. Meggy had just woken up from a nap after Splatfest practice.
Meggy: Hey Tari!
Tari: Afternoon, sweetie!
Meggy: Hey, I kinda got a question I've been meaning to ask. For about a month now.
Tari pauses her game, sets the controller down, and allows Meggy to sit next to her.
Meggy: I'm not implying anything. I'm not saying I want this right now. But do you think.. if we ever get married...
Tari cocked her head in confusion.
Meggy: .....We would have a child?
Tari: Have a child? At our age? You JUST turned 15. Why is this what is on your mind right now?
Meggy: I don't really know. I just thought that if we ever decide to marry, if we would have a family.
Tari: I'm pretty sure we'll go across that bridge when we approach that shit. I'm not really ready for a child. I don't know about marriage though. After all, it's the Mushroom Kingdom. If plumbers can have sex with spaghetti, teens can get married. But we'll discuss that another time.
That gave Meggy a sliver of hope. Maybe they CAN have a family. She kisses Tari, and goes to meet Kenji at the Turf War arena.
Tari: Only Meggy would think about having a kid. At OUR age.
Tari looks around.
Tari: Maybe that isn't really a horrible idea....
