Tari X Meggy: One Shots

Day One

Tari smiled as she led her best friend Sofia into her home.

Sofia: Woah! Nice place you got here!

Tari: Thanks! What's mine is yours!

An hour after Sofia settled down, Tari was in the living room playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Sofia just came out of the bedroom. Luckily, they didn't get rid of Tari's old bed. So it's back in its original position. Sofia took a short nap, and had just awoken. 

Sofia: Gooooooood afternoon Tarmonster!

"Tarmonster" was a nickname Sofia made up. It was made to describe her amazing gameplay.

Tari: Good afternoon Sofia!

Sofia sits down next to Tari. For some reason, she's just looking at Tari. But Tari gets really concentrated, and didn't notice. After Tari had won the match, she noticed Sofia's stare. She was getting used to being stared at, but only by people who liked her....did this mean what she thinks this means? Tari decided to stare ahead at the TV. 

Tari: So, what's been going on in the weeks that I left? 

No answer.

Tari: Sofia?

Sofia snaps up. She looks around.

Sofia: Huh? Oh. Nothing much. Masa destroyed Lamar in Battle Blaze, Lamar destroyed Masa in Tempest, Theo destroyed BOTH of them in Ultra Jump Mania, but that's to be expected. After all, it's HIS game.

Tari giggled. For some reason, Sofia had a reaction that Tari has seen before... from Meggy.

Tari: I guess that makes sense. What about you? What've you been up to? 

Sofia shrugs and looks down.

Sofia: Not much. Just being present. I don't really play video games. I just help people get better with their Meta Runner arms. I don't really have much use besides tinkering and being overly happy for no reason.

Tari notices that Sofia's eyes start to water. She was about to cry. Tari knew that if Sofia cried, she would cry as well. So, she did what she did best. She hugged fer closest friend.

Tari: That's not true Sofia. You are LITERALLY the most useful person on the team. You keep us safe, you improve us, you're funny, you're smart, you're pretty, and talented. Not to mention your figure. We're lucky to have you on the team, and anyone you like will be lucky to have you.

Sofia blushes.

Sofia: Thanks Tari. You are the best friend anyone could ask for. 

Sofia hugs back, and they hug for about to minutes. When they let go, they laugh to each other. 

Tari: Wanna play?

Sofia: Sure! I'm always Toad though.

Tari: Fine with me!

The two friends race together as day one ends.
