Tari X Meggy: One Shots

Meeting the OTHER family

 Tari had JUST finished getting dressed and ready for Silica City when Meggy walked through the door. 

Tari: Hey Meg! Ready to go?

Meggy: Yeah! I know I didn't want to earlier, but I'm excited now!

Tari looked at her knowingly. 

Tari: Only because I promised you sex when we get back. 

Meggy: Well I'm still excited! I wanna see the world of video games!

Tari: It's not really "the world of video games".

Meggy: Oh.

Tari: It's more like "the CITY of video games".

Meggy: Oh! Well, let's go!

A couple hours later, Tari and Meggy make it to Silica City.

Meggy: Does anyone know we're dating?

Tari: No. They think you're a friend. Let's keep it that way. But don't believe it too much.

Meggy: Ok!

Tari (being seventeen, or at least in this story she is) rented a rental car. She drove to the small ramen shop that covered the MD-5 hideout. She put in the code and walked in. The MD-5 theme was playing on the radio (I can't be the only one who loved the MD-5 theme). Sofia was playing catch with Theo, and Lamar was battling Masa in Battle Blaze. Tari casually sat next to Masa. Literally NO ONE noticed her for like 5 minutes. Everyone was distracted. When the match was over, Lamar finally said something.

Lamar: TARI!!!

Everyone looked at Tari. She nervously waved. Meggy was just sitting in the back. Then, after 5 seconds, Tari was swarmed with hugs by Sofia. They had the strongest relationship.The gang had a feeling Sofia liked Tari, including Tari herself, but no one really cared about it. 

Tari: WOAH! Hi Sofia! 

Tari hugged her best friend back. After Sofia let go, Masa and Lamar got their turns. 

Masa: How are you, Tari?

Tari: I'm great! I'm so happy to see you guys!

Theo: Crackerjack! The gang's all here!

Lamar: Calm down, little man, we have a dinner to go to.

Tari: Wait! Before we go, meet Meggy! She's my friend back at the Mushroom Kingdom!

This time, it was Meggy who nervously waved.

Sofia: Hi Meggy! I'm Sofia. So nice to meet you!

Lamar: Yeah! Nice to meet you!

Masa shook her hand and nodded.

Theo tried to touch her tentacles, but Tari took his hand away.

Tari: Oh no you don't! Don't just poke people!

Theo: Fine!

Meggy: Nice to meet you all!

An hour later, MD-5 and Meggy were sitting at a restaurant. Tari was being sat next to by Meggy and Sofia. Meggy noticed however that Sofia's chair was fairly close to Tari's. But Meggy saw that the chair was in that position when they got there. So she shook it off. As everyone was eating, Lamar made an announcement.

Lamar: Guys! We are holding a Battle Blaze competition when we get back home! Tari and Theo, you two will be IN the game, while everyone else is playing normally. It's gonna be a free for all!

Tari: Sweet! I'm in!

Masa: I was the one who thought of it.

Sofia: I've been training, and been unstoppable so far. 

Lamar: Against random online players. But you won't land a bullet on me tonight!

Theo: All I need is my coconut and banana mines!

Everyone looks at Meggy.

Sofia: Will you be joining us Meggy? It would be lots of fun!

Lamar: Yeah! How bad could it be?

Meggy: I mean, sure! I've played first person shooters before. Well, in GTA 5 at least (sidenote, I HATE first person in GTA 5. Just thought I should say).

Sofia: Great!

After everyone had eaten, they got in Masa's truck. There wasn't a lot of space, and Meggy was the guest, so she got shotgun. Theo and Lamar sat in the back, and Tari and Sofia were WAY in the back. It was a long drive back home, and Meggy had fallen asleep. So had everyone else. All except Masa, who was driving, Tari and Sofia. It was dark in the car, and you could only see outside. No one was really talking. Just getting their rest for the tournament coming up when they got home. Tari was about to fall asleep, when she felt a head on her shoulder, and hand on her lap. It was Sofia. She hadn't fallen asleep yet, but she was almost asleep. She was slowly rubbing Tari's leg while falling asleep. Everyone's suspicions were true. Sofia liked Tari. Tari didn't really know what to do. She quietly tries to get her attention.

Tari: Sofia?

Sofia looked at Tari. Their face inches apart. Sofia did something Tari didn't expect. She kissed Tari's cheek, smiled, then fell asleep. Sofia didn't know she was already in a relationship. Tari didn't know what to do. She did the only thing she could. She let Sofia rest. Tari had to admit, them so close together was pretty comfortable, and she hated herself for it. But she couldn't say anything. She might wake someone and cause a scene.

As soon as the trip was over, Tari woke Sofia up right before everyone else. Perfect timing! Tari thought just to put it behind her. Everyone else woke up and went inside. They all stretched to wake up for the tournament. After everyone was up and at it, they were ready to play.

Lamar: Awwwww yeaaaah. Yall goin DOWN son!

Tari smirked. 

Tari: Wanna bet?

Masa: Tari, before we begin, Tari, can I speak with you somewhere?

Meggy eyed him as he lead her out of the room.

Masa: Ok Tari. I'm just gonna say it. I saw you and Sofia. I know what happened. I ALSO know that you and Meggy aren't just friends. But it's cool. I have no problem. Sofia confirmed my suspicions, but she didn't know about you and Meggy. Correct?

Tari's heart was beating faster than Lightning Mcqueen (I'm so sorry for that cringe). But she just nodded. 

Masa: We'll keep this between you and I, but if I'm being honest, Sofia would make a better soulmate. Just saying. 

And with that, he walked away. Tari brushed it off and went back to her friends.

Lamar: With that out of the way, are we ready to begin?

Tari pulled up her Meta pad.

Lamar: 3

Theo: Crackerjack!

Lamar: 2

Meggy: Let's get it on!

Lamar: 1!

Tari: Gasp!
