Tari was softly humming "Always Running" while DESTROYING online players in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Afterwards, Tari went to go get something to eat, when all of a sudden the door burst open! Tari jumped back in surprise. Tari didn't know who it was, and Meggy was supposedly at the Splatfest training. So Tari called her. By the way, The kitchen was on the opposite side of the door from the hallway where the door is. So Tari couldn't see who it was. As Tari called Meggy, she heard her ringtone. This confused her. Either Meggy had come home, or someone attacked Meggy and took her phone. Luckily, it was Meggy.
Tari: Meggy! What're you doing here? You have a Splatfest to win!
She notices her eyes.
Tari: Meggy... have you been crying?
Meggy could barely speak.
Meggy: My whole team. My WHOLE TEAM got eliminated. I made it to the finals, but alone. Callie and Marie said that if I don't have a team two days from now, the other team wins. Since I don't have a team, I came home.
Tari walked over and gave her crying girlfriend a kiss. They held that position until Tari thought of a plan.
Tari: Meggy.....you do have ONE MORE team.
Tari leaves a confused Meggy behind as she goes in the bedroom. 30 minutes later, the doorbell rings. It rings again. And again. And again, and again, and again, and again. Meggy finally opens the door to see Mario and Luigi trying to pose heroically, but Mario is facing the wrong way.
Luigi: Dammit Mario!
Luigi turns to Meggy.
Luigi: Can you close the door for a second?
Meggy is way too confused to say anything. She just closes the door. After a few seconds of shuffling, the doorbell rings. Meggy opens it to see the brothers standing in heroic poses.
Meggy: May I help you boys?
Mario: I heard someone is in need of help for the Splat-WOAH!!
Meggy grabs them and take them inside. They sit at the table.
Meggy: I can't thank you guys enough for this. But I'm still missing a teammate. I gotta go look.
Tari: Going somewhere Meggy?
Meggy turned to see Tari standing there holding the weapon Meggy got her for Christmas.
Meggy: Tari... you don't mean....
Tari: Let's go win Splatfest, shall we?
Meggy went over and hugged Tari in thankfulness. Mario and Luigi already had their weapons ready.
Meggy: Let's go kick them right in the-
I know this one was rather short, but that's because it's a two part. The other and final piece to this story will be here maybe tomorrow or the next day. But I need a break today. I don't know if I should make a "Day Four" next, or if I should just make another chapter, or if I should jump straight to the sequel of this. I don't know yet. I'll figure it out.
