I don't know why I'm in love with this man. Can anybody please remind me? I mean, seriously? People who are in a relationship, aren't they supposed to have a telepathic connection? Like what I think, he knows, what he thinks, I know, isn't it supposed to be that way?
Right now, I'm standing in front of 17, Lakshmi Homes. I don't know why, though. I look at him and ask, " Do I look presentable?".
"Kaira, this is the zillionth time you are asking me this question. Of course, you look presentable. In fact, you look beautiful. You know whenever you ask me such questions, I have to repeat myself....", he started blabbering.
I make a snapping gesture with my fingers, opening and closing them like a beak and rolling my eyes.
"Even if you wear a potato sack, you will look beautiful-" before he can continue, I cut him off.
"Hey! Stop blabbering about me. I mean, you sure you are a billionaire CEO? I mean how come you aren't like those famous billionaires like.... like..... yeah! Like, Christian Grey from Fifty shades series? He was such a control freak, strict, disciplinarian and not so loquacious and not so cheesily romantic billionaire. Why aren't you like him?" I ask.
"Now, you stop blabbering about Christian Grey. They are waiting for us. Also, it's a warning Kaira, never compare me with that Christian Grey. I'm a lot better than him. You feel lucky that I haven't shown you my controlling side" he warns.
"Oh really? Are you threatening me, Mr. Karan Singh Oberoi?" I argue.
"Look, Kaira, I'm sorry but how would you feel if you were being compared to someone you don't like?" he tried negotiating but Boohoo! it won't work now.
I ignore him and start walking inside the house.
He follows me and is about to retort when Shanaya comes running and pulls me into a bone crushing hug.
"Oh my god Di! I can't believe you've got a boyfriend. I always thought you might be the wife material" she exclaims, which surprisingly surprises me.
"Wife material? That too me? Pretty impossible. And for god sake, why can't you behave like normal teenagers?" I ask, complaining.
"Shut up, Di. Now are you gonna introduce me to Jiju or not?" she asks.
"First, he is not your Jiju. Second thing, I'll introduce everyone, which includes you. Third, think about what I said regarding normal teenager behaviour" I clear.
