Chapter 17: The 1st Table Read: Part 1

*We walk in to see everyone standing by the door*
Josh: What's going on? *I ask Matt*
Matt: Tim isn't here yet.
Josh: Did anyone text him.
Larry: Yeah, he said he'll be here in 5 minutes.
Josh: Oh okay
Sofia: So how is everyone?
Josh: Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous.
Olivia: I'm also a little nervous but incredibly excited!
Julia: Me too
Josh: So do you guys think we will sing today?
Frankie: I don't know. I mean I didn't warm up so I might have to go Sharpay Evans on you guys. *does iconic vocal warm up*
*we all do the Sharpay warm up thing*
Tim: Oh hey guys! I see your all getting ready *laughs*
Olivia: Hi Tim!
Tim: *Unlocks the door and everyone goes in*
Tim: So you can sit anywhere because we are just going to read through the episodes.
Josh: *I sit next to Olivia*
Olivia: I just can't get rid of you can I?
Josh: If you want me to leave....
Olivia: Well alright, you can sit with me *laughs*
*Matt sits next to Josh and Sofia sits on the other side of Olivia*

Tim: So I just wanted to say welcome to your first table read!
*We all clap and laugh a little*
Tim: I'm so excited to meet with all of you and get to know you guys! You are all so  talented and you guys absolutely crushed your auditions.... obviously since you're here...*laughs* So I guess we start from the beginning.... page 1 everybody!

*We read through and get to the scene where Ricky and Big Red go to Nini and Kourtney at the lockers*

Dara: *Kourtney* So how does you know who feel about this whole new boyfriend thing?
Olivia: *Nini* I'm waiting for the right time to tell him.
Dara: *Kourtney* How do you feel about right now?
Josh: *Ricky* Yo Nini... what's good?
Olivia: *Nini* Hey. Can we talk?

Josh: *Ricky* It was my idea to take a pause.
Josh: Wait, so is this me talking to the camera as Ricky like the office?
Tim: Yeah, we are doing a monometrey style.
Sofia: Oh I really like that
Tim: Yeah I thought it would be good to like display the characters. Gives the audience and viewers further insight on these characters.
Olivia: Ohhhh fun. That's gonna be so cool. Really let's you go indepth into the characters!
Josh: Ok umm where was I...... *makes clicking noise with my tongue*. Oh okay mmm
Josh: *Ricky* It was my idea to take a pause alright. Nini was going to theater camp and not to brag but I'm not exactly intimidated by boys who voluntarily wear tights.
Larry, Matt, and Tim: *laughs*
Olivia: *I laugh a little too*
Olivia: *Nini* I didn't wanna take a pause! It was only for a month that we could FaceTime everyday.
Josh: *Ricky* I mean fine did I hang out with a couple girls this summer... possibly... did I talk about Nini the entire time... absolutely.

Olivia: *Nini*  I meant somebody else at camp. I didn't plan-
Josh: *Ricky* Wait is this a joke?
Olivia: *Nini* I'm still talking here.
Dara: Oh umm
Dara: *Kourtney* oh snap
Olivia: *Nini* I met someone else at camp. I didn't mean for it to happen but it happened. He was the music man and i was Marian librarian. It's called a showmance.
Larry: *Big red* Wait, you went to librarian camp. That's a thing?
Josh: *Ricky* Please tell me your joking
Larry: *Big red* Why?
Olivia: *Nini* Come in Ricky. You know what you did or what you didn't do...
Larry: *Big Red* *nods*

Tim: That was good guys. So when we film this I'll go through more character development... But for now just figure out what you'll want to do and we'll go from there. Okay now, in between this scene we will insert a flashback between Nini and Ricky so let's read through that scene now*

Josh: *Ricky*  Do my feet stink... cause I feel like my feet stink?
Olivia: *Nini*: No, maybe... I think it's cute.
Josh: *Ricky* That's why we work.

Sofia: *Lets out a little laugh*

*We read through the scene, but it's a bit different from how it is seen in the show and the script has no word of there being a kiss* (note from author: you'll see this scene run when we film it)
