Chapter 32: All I Want

Tim: I wanna run a few things with you two then tomorrow we will shoot in the gym at East High for the 1st time for a few scenes.
Josh: *smiles* Ohhh I excited.
Olivia: Me too... ooooo so iconic *laughs*
Tim: Hey Olivia I was wondering if you came up with anything for your song...I know it's been what like 2 days but do you have any ideas or anything?
Olivia: Oh yeah I came up with a little something. Do you want me to sing it or show you or were you just wondering?
Tim: Oh my goodness! I'm so excited! Whatever you'd like!
Olivia: So I kinda made a little like um recap almost of her relationship problems. You know like she talks about Ej and then Ricky.
Tim: I can already tell this is gonna be amazing!
Josh: *I sit on Nini's bed and go on my phone while I listen to you guys*
Olivia: *plays a recording off her phone* I found a guy told me I was a star. He held the door held my hand in the dark... and he's perfect on paper but lying to my face. Does he think that I'm the kind of girl who needs to be saved? And there's one more boy he's from my past. We fell in love but it didn't last. Cause the second I got close he pushes me away and I won't fight for you if you won't meet me halfway.... and I say that I'm through but this song is still for you.
Josh: *She's so beautiful... Josh! Stop! *
Tim: That's beautiful Olivia! I absolutely love it! You really do have a talent for song writing.
Have you written anything else? Like outside of this show and beside the song you recorded with Joshua?
Josh: Um yes! Have you seen her Instagram!
Olivia: Oh stop Josh! just little songs and stuff
Tim: Could I see them?
Josh: Oh I got you! *I pull up Instagram but as soon as I do one of my own videos of me singing an original comes up and I go to click off of it but have trouble for a few seconds so my song plays for a little...I eventually click off and find a video of Olivia singing*
Tim: Wait was that you Josh?
Olivia: Yes yes it was!
Josh: Yeah it's just me playin around
Tim: What?! That sounded so good! Another original?!
Josh: *nods*
Tim: You two don't ever fail to impress me.
Josh: *I find a video of you singing "Naive Girl" and show it to Tim*
Tim: *watches some of it* Oh my god... crazy idea...but what if.... I let you two pitch a song idea for Nini and Ricky for the series final? I can't guarantee anything but I could send in your song idea to Disney and see what they think.
Josh: *I look at Olivia with my mouth open wide* What oh my god
Olivia: Wait wait really? Like for real?!
Tim: Maybe! You don't have to worry about it yet. Olivia you can finish your song first but afterward maybe you two can cook something up.
Tim: I don't even know if Disney will let me because it was hard just to even get you a song but it's an idea.
Josh: This sounds amazing thank you so much Tim!
Olivia: Yes thank you. Oh my gosh do you think we have a chance?
Tim: I think that when I show them some of your originals they won't be able to say no. I can't guarantee your song will be picked though.
Olivia: Weather they pick it or not, Id love to write another song for the show!
Josh: Yeah I'm so excited!
Tim: Okay so Olivia as soon as you finish your song I'll let you know what's going on with your characters toward the end of the season because I don't want to tell you just yet.
Olivia: ooo I love surprises *I laugh*
Tim: Alright so I wanna go through a few thing with you guys for a few hours then I'll let you go home *laughs*

*We go through lines and talk about character development and practice a few scenes for upcoming episodes. During that day, Josh and Olivia kind of avoid each other but not totally but it was kinda awkward. Tim gives Josh his scripts for episodes 3 and 4. They get dance rehearsal and vocal rehearsal schedules*

*hours later*
Tim: So I think that's all for today.
Olivia: Dang, that was a lot. I feel like we were very productive though.
Josh: Same
Tim: Well, thank you guys for sticking around! Congratulations on just everything because you two are so talented! Have a good night!
Olivia: Thank you so much it means a lot. Good night Tim!
Josh: Night!

Josh: So... do you need a ride home?
Olivia: Uh yes please. Sorry, I just usually count on you for that *laughs softly*
Josh: Oh of course.

*We walk to the car and get in. They pull out.*
Josh: I think our scene went well, I feel good about it. *wow Josh, way to bring that up*
Olivia: *Well how am I supposed to respond to that?* Um yeah it was really good. I think it was definitely better improvised.
Josh: *Is she referring to the kiss?!* I agree. I think it really showed the kind of *air quotes* professionals we are. *I laugh* Just kidding... well not really though because you nailed it and the kis- *I stop myself* It was just all perfect timing.
Olivia: *Oh shoot he hated the kiss didn't he. Was it that awkward?* Yep... it was all perfect. Magic if you will... *laughs nervously* *WAIT! I didn't mean it like that!... or did I?*
Josh: *Magic? The kiss? What?!* Disney magic *I laugh nervously*
Olivia: Yeah... that's Disney for you.*You're an idiot. You're an idiot. You're an idiot. You're an idiot. Did I mention that you're an idiot?*
Josh: Yeah *She looks weirdly nervous... I mean I think I do too...should I say something?* Hey are you okay? You seem super tense.
Olivia: *Way to look out for me Josh! I don't know how to respond though!* Oh I'm fine. Just um overthinking a few things currently I guess.
Josh: Like what? You know you can talk to me. *don't push it Josh*
Olivia: *Oh I don't know. Maybe the fact that I may have just caught really big feelings for you and are scared that I'm going to mess up and tell you and that'll you'll leave me* Um- I was thinking about... Ethan! Yes, Ethan. I still need to um talk to him about what happened.
Josh: *Did you want her to say something else?* Oh. Right I've been meaning to ask you. Have you talked to him lately?
Olivia: No not at all. I should um probably do that. I'm just scared for some reason. I don't know why but I am.
Josh: No I get it. So are you gonna call him to end it officially or what *Josh you have no business in asking that*
Olivia: Yeah that was my intention.
Josh: Just speak your heart.
Olivia: I'm scared if I do something might slip up. *Did you really just say that out loud? What do you think he's going to say now?*
Josh: What do you mean. *What is she talking about?*
Olivia: *dang it* Uh um I-I don't know.
Josh: Well whatever feels right in the moment...
Olivia: Yeah I'll do that. Thanks for the advice Josh.
Josh: Of course. You'll be fine... I pinky promise *I hold out my pinky *
Olivia: *I link mine on* You know you can't break those Bassett.*I laugh*
Josh: You can't either. *So are we good now?*
Olivia: *and just like that we are back to normal? What the heck is going on with us*
Josh: *I want to be okay right- even if we aren't together. I already miss the friendship we had just yesterday.*
Olivia: *Why can't life just be easy?* Soo.. what's up with you? *real smooth there Liv*
Josh: *Smooth transition Olivia- she's just trying not to be awkward- oh she's so cute-JOSH STOP* I'm pretty tired. *I laugh* Today was a lot more then I anticipated. I'm excited about this song idea though!
Olivia: Yeah I am really excited to work on that. First, I have my own song to finish.
Josh: Oh yeah! And now that I have the scripts, I'll be able to actually see what your writing about finally.
Olivia: Yes very exciting. It was a little difficult to get into my Nini mode but then I realized how relatable she is *No, it's because you couldn't stop thinking about Josh*
Josh: You killed it, it sounded amazing.
Olivia: Okay I think that may be a little extra. It was good but not amazing
Josh: Hey! What happened to no downgrading yourself...I think that was a pinky promise...
Olivia: Sorry Josh. I just have been a little off lately. I don't know why but I just have I guess.
Josh: It's okay I get it *about us or Ethan again?!*
Olivia: Things are just different ya know Sorry that sounds really weird.
Josh: *Why do girls always talk like this.... I legit have no idea what she's means* It's okay...it doesn't sound weird at all.
Olivia: *stop being so weird Olivia* Oh okay then. Sorry I've just been rambling about my issues to you.
Josh: Oh my gosh if you say sorry one more time I'm gonna loose it *I say sarcastically in a funny nice way*
Olivia: Sorry. Oh wait never mind! I'm so NOT sorry!
Josh: OLIVIA!  *I laugh*
Olivia: I guess I'm just a very apologetic person.
Josh: I guess so *I laugh* I mean that's not a bad thing.
Olivia: I mean it is if you made a PINKY PROMISE not to.
Josh: This is true. That's a sacred promise... So take back what you said *I put my hand up* without apologizing.
Olivia: *I put one hand up* I take it all back
Josh: Thank you *laughs*
