Chapter 5: Karaoke Car Rides

Olivia: Where are you going?
Josh: I don't know but it's only 3:45 so we have an hour and 15 min. Where should we go?
Olivia: Oooo can we go to the park?
Josh: * I laugh* sure! I hear the parks at Salt Lake are really pretty.
Olivia: I know! Salt Lake mountains are so beautiful. What music should we listen to?
Josh: I don't know. Surprise me.
Olivia: Lets listen to iconic HSM songs just in honor of the show. *I laugh and turn on "Breaking Free"*
Josh: *sings* We're soarin, flyin, there's not a star in heaven that we can't reach. *I point to you*
Olivia: *sings* If we're trying so we're breaking free.
Josh: *sings* You know the world can see us, in a way that's different than who we are.
Olivia: *sings* Creating space between us till we're separate hearts
Josh: *sings* But your faith *i gesture you to sing along with me*
Olivia and Josh: *sings* it gives me strength. Strength to believe.

*We sing the rest of song together.*
Josh: ICONIC
Olivia: And the Grammy goes to .... JOSHY AND LIVI
Josh: *I laugh hard* I hope we sing that in the series.
Olivia: We better.
Josh: I wonder how they are gonna do it. Like will they ever just break out into song or will they be intentional. And like what old songs they are gonna use?
Olivia: Yeah. I don't know. it's all so exciting. I'm just so... I JUST CAN'T WAIT.
Josh: Me too. Okay tell me why you auditioned I'm just curious. Like why HSM.
Olivia: Well I've always been a big fan. I had all the merch, CDs, dolls, everything. When my agent told me about this it was just something I couldn't pass up. No matter if I got it or not it would still be cool. What about you?
Josh: I don't know if you knew, but I have 5 sisters and no brothers, and I'm the 2nd youngest. *I laugh.* Anyways they played these movies all the time and I always liked theatre so I liked watching them with them. Then, at a local community theatre, the 1st play I was ever in was HSM and I played jv jock #2. So I jumped when this opportunity hit.
Olivia: Man, a jv jock? Number two? Now that is quite the role. *I laugh*
Josh: Oh yeah for sure! At one point they had me throw a basketball across the stage, which I thought was super cool until they cut it. *I laugh*
Olivia: Oh no. RIP basketball throw.
Josh: *I laugh.* That was a very sad day.
Olivia: I would have been absolutely devastated.
Josh: Oh, I was. *I laugh* I can't wait for my old director to see me as Troy in this show and he's gonna see what basketball skills he missed out on.
Olivia: *I laugh* Oh he missed so much basketbally skills. Are we almost there?
Josh: I think so. Shoot the road is closed.
Olivia: Oh no! Those party pooping roads! How dare they!
Josh: Could you check maps and find new directions to the park?
Olivia: Yeah.*Pulls up maps on my phone* It says to turn right on South Street.
Josh: I don't see- oh I see it. *I turn right*
Olivia: Okay, then left on Martin Road.
Josh: Thanks Olivia. *I turn left*
Olivia: Your welcome. Okay then turn right here and then we should be- OH MY GOD! THE PARK!
Josh: Oh wow it's beautiful.
Olivia: Yeah it is! So where do you want to go?
Josh: *I find a parking space* Wanna go sit on that bench over there and we could maybe start to run through our lines.
Olivia: Sure, sounds like fun.
*We get out of the car with our scripts and walk over*
