Chapter 22: Olivia Gets a Song

Olivia: *on the phone* Hey Tim!
Tim: *on the phone* Hey Olivia, how are you?
Olivia: I'm good. I suffered a little injury but I am okay. *laughs*
Josh: *I take out my phone and record you*
Olivia: *mouths to Josh* What are you doing?
Tim: Miss Rodrigo.... What did you do?
Olivia: I may have accidentally hit my hand on a moving mixer...
Tim: Well I hope you feel better!
Olivia: Haha Thanks!
Tim: Hey so I just wanted to talk to you about something...
Olivia: Uhh okay? Wait- Am I getting fired?
Tim: What? No! Josh let me listen to the song you wrote and sang with him and it was absolutely incredible.
Olivia: Oh thank you. It was fun to record.
Tim: The talent you have at such a young age is incredible.
Olivia: Thanks Tim.
Tim: Anyways so we have been working on the music for this season for awhile now and I always thought that Nini needed a stronger song in episode 4... Now I know you don't know what's going on yet or what Nini's gonna be thinking about then...but I was wondering if you would want to write the song for her to sing. You have so much talent and I want people to see it. Not just as Nini but as Olivia.
Josh: *I make a noise of excitement*
Olivia: I-I REALLY! Holy crap! I would love to! Josh I get to write a song! Also is that why you were recording me?
Josh: I'm so happy for you!!! Maybe...
Tim: Yea...sorry I told Josh to record you. *laughs*
Olivia: Wait you knew?
Josh: *I raise my eyebrows* Maybe...
Tim: Great! So I'll get you the scripts for episodes 3 and 4 so u can start to think about it. But no rush -I don't NEED to have it done before we get to the episode. We can always film it later.
Olivia: Okay that's good. Great. Amazing. Also Tim I don't think you should trust Josh... he threw baking flour at me.
Josh: What! You started it! *I laugh*
Olivia: Pft! No I didn't!
Tim: You two behavior youselfs. I'll see you guys tomorrow for your 1st vocal rehersal. Bye!
Olivia: Bye Tim! *hangs up*

Josh: *I run over and hug you*
Olivia: JOSHY. I GET TO WRITE A SONG!
Josh: IM SO PROUD OF YOU! You totally deserve it!
Olivia: Aww thanks. I'm still in a state of shock.
Josh: Literally me all day *I laugh* It was hard not to say anything *I laugh*
Olivia: I can't believe you did keep it secret.
Josh: The amount of times I wanted to though...
Olivia: I mean I wouldn't have been mad...
Josh: Nah, I wanted Tim to tell you. He told me to record your reaction. It would have been an honor to tell you though.
Olivia: I mean obviously. *I laugh*
Josh: *I laugh*
Olivia: Hey Josh?
Josh: Yeah?
Olivia: Thank you for helping me this week... for helping me get over my break up, for going out and having fun together, for taking care of my hand, and for helping me record the song. You just mean so much to me. Thank you.
Josh: Awww Olivia....your gonna make me cry. You really are the best friend and I couldn't ask for a more talented, pretty, funny co- star.
Olivia: *Did he just call me pretty?!* Now I'm going to cry. Man we just cry all the time don't we?
Josh: *I laugh* *I look at you then I look at myself* I think we made a bit of a mess of ourselves... Thanks for that *I laugh*
Olivia: You are so welcome.... and this look you gave me....stunning. *I laugh*
Josh: *I laugh.* Oh same.
Olivia: Oh my gosh! This is your apartment! I made a total mess! I'm so sorry!
Josh: *Laughs* It's totally fine... I had fun.
Olivia: *blushes* Well me too....Oh we have to decorate the cake!
Josh: Oh yeah.... the cake.
Olivia: Here let me go get the knif- ow. Hand is still injured.
Josh: I got it. *I did the frosting with a fun design all swirled with red and white.* Vuala!
Olivia: Ah! I guess I was out baked by the Joshua Bassett.
Josh: *I laugh.* Hey you put all the ingredients together.
Olivia: mmmmm I guess I did do that. Oh can I pour on the sprinkles... pwetty pwease?
Josh: *I hand you the sprinkles*
Olivia: And now it's done! We made an amazing cake!
Josh: Yessssss
Olivia: *I go to take a taste and almost touch the cake*
Josh: Hey! That's for your moms! *laughs*
Olivia: *laughs* Alright fine! I'm going to really be testing my will power now.
Josh: *I laugh*

Olivia: I don't know if this is weird but can I use your shower? I don't wanna get flour and batter all over your car.
Josh: Yeah it's totally fine! My bathrooms right over there. *I walk you to the bathroom and give you a clean towel*
Olivia: Thanks... oh and another question... Do you have like a hoodie and sweats I could borrow? I don't think going home in a towel would be good. Especially when it is freezing out. *I laugh* Not that I need it I mean I can just wear what I had it's just a little dirty but it'll be fine. Right?
Josh: *I laugh.* Oh no it's okay.... I can grab you something. *I grab a sweatshirt that's gray and says EAST* This sweatshirt is a little small on me so you can keep it. I got it in honor of the show but it's a little small, plus you would a lot better in it than I do *laughs*.
Olivia: Oh thank you! I'm going to go ahead and um, take a shower. Um bye. *I walk into the bathroom*
Josh: *I walk into the kitchen and clean up. Once I finish, I sit down with my guitar and play and sing random things*
